This game is disrespectful towards the Marine Corps.
No one in my squad is a Marine to start off. Also, one of them is a smart 4ss and is always making jokes and insulting the marines. Why Tom Clancy's franchise has never made a MarSOC game BTW? they are probably better than JSOC.

but really. the unit is Supposedly all U.S Army.

While MarSOC has no units that are under JSOC, they have fallen under a JSOC command while deployed. In fact the first deployment of MarSOC, JSOC threw them out of Afghanistan after only about a month of being there because of their unprofessionalism and disregard for orders. That and they were killing a whole lot of people instead of doing the job tasked to them.

Actually that is not what I'm talking about. They were in a firefight in an AOR that was not theirs and were not supposed to be in, where they killed something like 20 unarmed civilians. "

Pretty sure something like that in there records would kind of tarnish them.

Uhh... How is this game disrepectful to the Marines?

I think that the Ghosts come from different branches. They aren't directly connected to any branch of the military.

If you say that this game is disrespectful to any branch of the military... It would be the Air Force. Like when you pick up a medal they say that it looks like something you would get from a cereal box or the Air Force.

Didn't realize that the Marines recruited snowflakes now?

Branches do this all the time to each other. It's just a joke. I grew up around each of the branches and it's common (lived on Army and Coast Guard bases, friends were on Navy and AF bases or in the USMC). It isn't supposed to be taken seriously. I personally think it's funny they have the jokes in the game, it's realistic.

As someone that served in the Air Force, I absolutley love picking up a commendation medal and hearing that line.

To the OP - Ghost units are comprised of Army members formaly known as Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group out of Fort Bragg.

literally this ^^^

i have friends in all branches and they all tell me the same thing that they crack jokes on other branches. dont know why youre shocked to see it lol.

Since you managed to type out this thread I guess we can assume you're not a marine.

They make jokes about the air force too. Air force jokes are just too easy, though.

i served 8 years in the marines and i honestly could not give a single damn who this game offends. It's a game.

Wanna talk about who it should really offend? the cartels.. according to this game ,they are all a bunch of supreme idiot AI.

Wanna hear a navy joke?..

So,.. a sailor picks up a rifle...

Former Navy here lol. I used to work with The Marines all the time as a Cryptologic Tech. Lots of field work for me with them. So I pretty much spent my naval career with the USMC.

That's because the air force are low rung soldiers, and the marines are jarheads. Long live the army.

Yeah i've been in company of many navy personnel.Sure there is always that jock rivalry but if there were any two branches closely linked together it's marines and navy. I know my fair share of jokes for every branch of service but still respect all my bro's and sisters of service. If anything i had more hate for my own kind. i was with the 2nd LE BN and ended up kicking more marine ass than anything else.
