In 1 there is no romantic implication with Luca. Maybe a tease that they are now friends and that she likes him around by the end, but nothing bigger. But in the same way, Jeanne in 1 also isnt really romantic either. "Sisterhood" is because they are witches. They aren't actually sisters.
But then 2 happens: There is no romance at all with Luca in 2. She likes him around as a friend, but their relationship is Luca trying to be romantic, and Bayonetta brushes him off or makes a joke on him. He's on the level of Enzo at that point, only he gets more involved and has more information on the plot.
Jeanne in 2 was confirmed romantic though. Not only with the Orpheus parallels all over 2, but the fact that they sleep together in official art for the game (with Bayonetta waking Jeanne up to go to work). Then theres all of their dialogue together as a whole, especially with retrieving Jeanne's soul.

And Kamiya posted on twitter a "what is your favorite couple" poll, and the winner was the option of Bayonetta X Jeanne (which was an option he put in the survey).
Something happened during Bayo 3 development clearly. The game has a ton of cut content, and had to be reduced. The director of the game also immediately left right after due to the conditions, and then Kamiya leaves Platinum a year later too. Wouldnt be surprised if they werent pleased with the story results either.
bro, another excuse with "jeanne and bayonetta" yet play the game bro. your just straight up ignoring a romantic scene between bayo and luka. this literally goes for every game with a straight ship and people just want to make every character with sexuality, just be happy for who bayonetta choose
I know this is bait but
1 Bayonetta rescues Luka but made sure he ate dirt every chance he got she didn't respect him. Till after she and Jeanne faught and thought Jeanne died. She treats him as a toy for her own amusement.
2. She lost contact with Luka after 1 and b2 was literally the most bayo Jeanne game of the two Luka himself calls them lovers in her journal. Their section parallels Orpheus and Eurydice...a love story of a lover going to hell to rescue their partner. She offers Jeanna a wake up kiss and bayo checks out Jeanne's ass before the credits play. Luka got punted off a platform the second he tries making a move.
3. Jeanne was confirmed under the controll of balder. In B1 when she attacks Bayonetta several times.
4. The bayo that has a kid with viola takes place in a completely different universe that was confirmed not the og 1-2 timeline. Spiderman gets with Mary Jane in some universes. Gwen Stacy in others Liz Allen in some. Wolverine gets with a guy in another universe. It's a multiverse.
5. Bayonetta 1 straight up says they aren't sisters by Jeanne flat out laughing in Bayonettas face before fighting on the two statues. They where childhood friends not sisters. And bayo and the lost demon doesn't take place in the 1-2 timeline. It's its own universe just like 3.
Lukaon dies in that universe when lukaon was young. We see a version of his adult self it doesn't line up with b3's lukaon. Singularity visits that universe after losing in b3's his abilities don't allow him to go back in time. He only invades universe that are all aligned flowing down a same timeline. He invaded another universe where Bayonetta and that Jeanne where children. And tried to scare Jeanne away by a attempt to deceive her showing her death. In b3's world. It didn't work as it made her more determined which he wasn't expecting he knew he'd lose as he was severely weakened.
As for her being bi. She literally does a bdsm sexual act of joy... Has offered kissing Jeanne, has official art depicting her unfamilial and intimate with Jeanne.... 1-2 bayo is definitely bi.
The bayo in 3 could be straight. She doesn't have the same energy with her Jeanne
Egypt bayo and Jeanne have each other's names tattooed onto them in umbran text.
Scent of love and red and black lyrics have romantic undertones ...
All in all I know this is bait
Does every game has to be lgbtq themed or what?? I’m not being homophobic but it dosent make sense how bayonetta and Jeanne are in a relationship when bayonetta and luka has more romantically relations. Have you even seen the scenes or what? You just made up something like bayonetta using luka as a toy LIKE WHAT? It dosent even work like that.. you clearly see how she got closer to him time to time and yet your saying she used him as a toy? In bayonetta the lost demon we clearly see how cereza and Jeanne is confirmed to be having a sister relationship. I know bayonetta for a long time and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ seeing people criticizing luka and bayo or bayonetta 3 and stop seeing this as a bait because how is this a bait when I have a opinion
1.... she didn't attack Bayonetta for no reason. Jeanne was brainwashed by balder. We see the angelic seal break in her eyes after they fight on the rooftop if you "knew Bayonetta" you'd know that
People can have multiple romantic options. B1 sure you can say there was with her and Luka... But b2 made it clear she didn't mutually like him romantically. B1 she made sure to humiliate him. She wasn't genuine at all
I didn't make up Bayonetta using Luka as a toy. Kamiya himself said it. The fact she names him after a childhood toy also confirmed it. She knew he hated it she didn't care.
Bayonetta and the lost demon is it's own universe and again they aren't sisterly. They where childhood friends.
B1 again has her laughing in bayos face when asked if she was her long lost sister
You haven't known bayonetta that long tbh. I own the eyes of Bayonetta books. Seen the def diaries. Mari shimazakis art which is officially seen kamiyas tweets. Own the merch etc.
B1-2 same universe she didn't get with Luka
B3 she does confirmed not the same universe is it's own new one.
Origins another universe. Doesn't get with Luka as they are children and he dies.
You say your not homophobic, doubt it as this wouldn't piss you off this much. Go touch grass. None of their official art or in game content implied they where familial.
They where sisters of the umbra. The cult not familial. The same way Christians are brothers sisters in Christ. Or army soldiers being brothers in arms. Grow up. Not every game is LGBT themed there aren't that many. Some still have characters implied. there isn't any attack on you. This is just you posting rage bait for engagement. I'm done talking about it. You'll ignore it and continue crying and screaming
this is literally my opinion chillout.. its not like the whole world is about you and that youre always being right about things. at least let people express their opinion without you calling it out as a "bait"
and like do you hate straight ship that much or smth?
But Bayonetta 2 completely sides with Jeanne so hard that its impossible to not see it that way. From the art of the game, to the comparisons to the myth of Orpheus and Dante's Inferno type setup, to the in-game dialogue. Luka is solidified as the comic relief friend and exposition giver (which worked well for him), while Jeanne gets all the romantic attention.
Even when she spends most of 2 being dead, Jeanne still gets waaaaaaaaaay more buildup than anything in 3.
Something clearly happened with Bayonetta 3 development. And having Kamiya just leave Platinum to go back to Capcom recently just emphasizes that more. It reads like a fanfiction from someone who skimmed over Bayo 1 story and just assumed Luka was a much bigger deal than he was meant to be, and then just ignored 2 completely. The director for 3 also immediately left after it was finished, so it wasnt a good time.
Even for Bayo Luka fans, they deserve much much better than whatever rushed disaster their characters got in 3.
Exactly this.... B3 was confirmed to have been rewritten several times. The eyes of Bayonetta 3 confirm a different story line was originally gonna be told. With different events playing out. Luka in his own journal didn't see himself as an actual romantic option
B3 the characters don't even act or feel like themselves.
Luka was taken to serious and less of a comedic relief in his cutscenes.
Bayo got slapped around and spent time worrying about Luka and viola. And watching ppl die.
Jeanne and bayos relationship was watered down and set as the most platonic friends. After replaying 1-2 and hearing her say " let's get drinks after this." "Jeanne likes entertaining the gentlemen" And Jeanne calling bayo a ♥♥♥♥♥ seems weird.
1 Luka spends his time chasing bayo. B2 he follows after his father.
B3 resets him and waters him down. Cept this time bayos chasing and worrying about him. All in all I'm happy b3 takes place in its own separate universe. I just wished it was fleshed out better.... And then not trying to use out of context moments from the og continuity to make it make better sense.... When those events didn't happen in b3's timeline or universe
I provided facts.... Didn't make the world about me .. and never implied a hate straight ships or bayo and Luka being together. If anything you've shown you hated the idea and LGBT ships pairings and think it's somehow an attack on you. Your own words in several of your posts. You where the one thinking you were right and still do even after context and stuff where provided. Don't project yourself onto me.
But in that case, its some fans trying to ignore something that the devs have been leaning into harder and harder with each game for many many many years.
Hasn't ended yet, but if it ever does and they fully commit to it for the ending, then its one of the best buildups many did not expect (even with all the hints being there from the start).
