Any chance of getting Bayonetta 2 and 3 on Steam?
Probably a useless and already a existent thread with already given answers, but just to start a discussion how many chances there are now to get Bayo 2 and 3 on newer consoles and pc? Could Nintendo potentially free this franchise from the switch seeing how exlusives are by far almost going away? :steamsad:

the chances are close to 0% unless some miracle happens

Nintendo don't have a single game on PC and probably never will

0%.

Nintendo is the reason those games even exist as everyone else declined to publish and fund 2.

So Sega is not involved in the foundings anymore? That's a shame, then i will probably play them on the switch 2 later on if at least there is an enhancement on Bayonetta 3.
In any case, what about sales? Was Bayonetta really a standout just being on the switch?

Sega was at a tough time during Bayonetta 2 in terms of funds, so they chose not to fund the game like they did with 1. They still kind of own it but its seen more as a collaboration and Nintendo has publishing rights.

But when Platinum went around looking for publisher funding, they got rejected multiple times and only Nintendo decided to take the risk. So if something like Microsoft decided to help fund 2, then there would have been a PC port.

2 was also a Wii U game, so the Switch version is actually a port with smooth fps improvements but thats it. 2 is very worth playing, it has a couple of issues if you really get into the combat and how they changed the ranking, but the improvements are much more obvious (only one much much shorter vehicle section, controls feel smoother, art style change makes the game look a lot better, and more varied weapons, no insta-kill QTEs, much easier and less button-mashy demon finishers). Story also cleans up a ton of what 1 added, and since it had help from the DMC3/4/5 writer it shows.

3 is mixed. The Switch clearly couldnt handle it so it runs and looks worse than 1 and 2, theres a ton of minigames, the new character has questionable combat, the story is controversial. Maybe wait for the Switch 2 to see if they release a better edition of the game there. A 3 Definitive Edition is really needed for that game

Woah thanks a lot for the information given :p4g_love:
In any case, i will gladly wait further updates over a tiny chance of getting these two on pc. At least they could release those in order to let people buy Bayo 4 on Switch 2 if it will ever come out; basically what Sony was trying to do with the pc port of their games. But yeah Nintendo is not Sony so... :steamsad:

^They did eventually port Wonderful 101, but the reason behind that was because that game had done really poorly already, and Nintendo asked for the rights to Astral Chain in return.

I dont think they'll do that with Bayonetta since that series is more popular.
Let me say that while I would very much wish to get a native port of 2 and 3 on PC, it most likely not going to happen in the nearest future, if ever. Anyway, Bayo 2 and 3 are playable on PC if you catch my drift...
Bayo 1 is still top-notch in my opinion and the PC port is the best one performance-wise across all platforms (I've tested them all), especially now when BayoHook exists.
