Bayonetta not launched
When I run it directly on Steam, the game starts and then immediately shuts down. I also tried to run Bayonetta.exe in the system folder, but it complains about the error 0xc000007b. The integrity is checked, DirectX and other software is also installed. ALL, absolutely ALL games work as expected, only this one won't start. What could be the matter?

I also installed it on the C drive, but there's no difference, everything is the same.

My computer: Windows 10 Pro, RTX 4070 Ti, i7-13700KF, 32 GB RAM. Is it really too powerful for this game? I doubt it very much

here are some solutions people have suggested:

-Close Steam, delete the appcache folder, then relaunch the game through Steam

There's also this guide you can check: https://community.amd.com/t5/drivers-software/bayonetta-the-game-in-steam-dont-launch/td-p/571207

by any chance, are you able to see if the game gets launched in fullscreen or borderless mode?

Unfortunately, your advice did not help me.

I looked at the guide, but it's intended more for owners of AMD video cards.

The game either doesn't start at all (from the Steam library) or throws an error 0xc000007b at startup.

It looks like I'll have to put the game on hold for a long time until some really effective solution is found.
Manually remove all C++ Redistros and then download all the updated ones including both x86 and x64 versions, except for ARM64 here:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist

Download all of them from 2005 to 2022, even the "unsupported" 2013.

Also make sure you have updated the Windows .Net Frameworks 3.5, 4.8, and 4.8.1 which came in a Windows Update or two since February - this is another issue found to cause BSoD.

When I went to download those redistros, I found I had about 28 of them, lol. There should only be 12 of them to run any game from it's inception since 2005ish.

Thank you, my friend. I will definitely use your advice soon and will let you know if it helped me.

Hey Friend, got the same problem with Bayonetta as you had, just to check did you fix it? And if so could you help me out as well?
This one, just got the game and now i wanna play it please someone help.
OneDrive, if present, might interfere since it blocks the access to the Documents folder for some games.

How would one go about dealing with that if you have any ideas it would make me smile.

I did all this, but unfortunately, it didn't help. However, the fault here lies more with SEGA, which has stopped supporting the game.

This is the only thing that helped me.

DLL files generally only helped if you put them in the game folder.

How did you manage to fix the problem?

There is a link to the page above your post. I just uninstalled all the VC Redist, installed 2005 through 2022, then installed everything that was linked in the post I wrote above. I put all the DLL files in System32 and SysWOW64, as well as in the root folder of the game.
There is a new VC+ release but this game is on older VC+ so this is wack advice, simply play the game (if using Win11) as Win7 (there should be zero issues on Win10). :chirp:

This games VC Redistros are already in 'SteamWorks Redistro" - wack advice...

If you have issue and running Win11, your OS is issue, push it on compatibility Win7/10 all good, last response - I have ZERO issue running this game on Win10 at 1440p - GTX 1080Ti, AMD R9 5950X nor R7 1800x - if using RTX, there is yr sign (frame gen trash). :badluck:
