How to fix broken witch hearts

I have 24 of them in my bags, but idk how to turn them into whole witch hearts and use them to boost my health points.

Pretty sure once you get enough, they will turn into whole hearts boost your maximum life guage automatically.

I thought so as well, but now I have 24 of them in my bags ??!
And when I select them, I don't get a 'Use' button.
Perhaps they are converted to health points already, but do they, for some awkward reason, still show up as broken ones.

That's not 24, that's 2/4 or any amount out of 4. There's a slash. Same with pearls, only you need 2 out of 2 to make a whole moon pearl. Once you collect enough, they fuse together automatically then the counter resets.

the problem with that is that they dont fuse together, they're just relaxing in the inventory. I also have 2 broken moon pearls just chilling

I have no idea what is up with your game then. Perhaps it resets when you collect another one. Nobody really pays any attention to that since it's automatic, nor that it matters much.

well i honestly cant tell if they're already combined or not but if it isnt, its honestly making my game harder since i die so quick

When you collect enough to make a whole heart or a pearl, there will be an automatic pop up following by a pause screen in game once you grab the last one out of 4 for a heart or 2 for a pearl. If you've already collected enough and the maximum amount of health or magic hasn't increased, then there's something wrong with your game.

it increased my magic once and it never popped up that my health increased so idk whats wrong with my game, i'll try to reinstall it later

I think you're just confusing something, but verifying the integrity of game files wouldn't hurt.

That's showing 2/4 witch heats - you have 2 of 4 broken witch hearts (and 0 of 2 broken pearls.)

Get 2 more broken witch hearts to make a full witch heart.
