now my memory isnt perfect, but wasent the central gimmic in that game tagging each enemy once and killing everyone with a special attack?
the only real similarities i see is that kunochi is a character action game starring a female.
u should play the game again to start knowin those videos are only sequences of the game. she plays like bayonetta and that girl in 33.49 is a foe but also a friend kinda like in bayonetta strange relation. bayonetta took this template and abstractly changed it in a way making it the same yet different game. obviously sega's nightshade was a niche game that has been forgotten in oblivion and it wasnt hard to rebuild from that game to a different game but i finished both shinobi on ps2 and nightshade. and u will surely feel it when u replay it. nd u will even love it like u love bayonetta.
ofcourse the nightshade character was a silent one not showing a character for the shinobi that she is.
Now, it is possible, that those similarities you mentioned were placed there on purpose as a easter egg, a silent nod to everyone who knows Nightshade, but from what I can tell, bayonetta has more in common with Devil May Cry than Nightshade.
By the way, doesnt mean that I think that Nightshade is a bad game, I just dont think that it is a previous incarnation of said game.
Just because Hibana is a sexy female protagonist and there is a similar stage where you fight on a plane doesn't mean that Bayonetta copied anything from that game. That's just japanese developers doing their over the top stuff.
yeah but there is clearly a link in those games and u also mentioned that plane. obviously bayonetta devs might v been devs in this game nightshade as well. by the way nice to find someone who actually played shonobi and nightshade. sega fans back in the day were crying like its a mediocre game when clearly it wasnt mediocre
i just finished it once. shinobi ps2 likewise . i loved nighshade more but ofcourse shinobi was the firt game and basically new to the devs i believe. i cant help but link the game to bayonetta not directly but the idea is there
I'll have to give that a play.
