white screen / not responding

any solution with white screen / not responding? i have tried eveything i found. alt+enter. changing resolution. check integrity of files.

Try any of the below:

- If the game is installed on a different HDD/partition than steam, move the game onto the steam library that is on the same partition as steam. (If the game successfully starts you can then move it back)

- Navigate to the game exe file, right click, select properties, compatibility, tick run in 640 x 480 screen resolution and try the game again.

in the game folder, there is a folder called "aspect unlock", try apply each of the .reg files in turn (run the game after each one)

try running both steam and the game as admin once only. (Not something I really like to encourage though)

Additionally, on windows 10, disable full screen optimisations

Disabling full screen optimizations did the trick for me.

I did everything you mentioned and still got the white screen.

In Documents\Bayonetta, delete system_data file and try running the game again.

if you are running on a laptop, set the game to run on the dedicated gpu.

try running steam and game as admin

After spending two days searching in Bayonetta community thread, finally found out the method to play the game. Need to create another user in your pc and log in to that user in order to play the game. At first, the window mode still showing white screen but after you press Alt and Enter button, the game finally works.

deleting system_data solved it for me, thanks.
It also works for Vanquish.
If someone has the same Problems after reinstalling any of these games they should probably try that.

You are the best person ever. At first Bayonetta wouldn't let me delete the file, even when the game was closed, so I literally just dragged the file to a place I knew my PC wouldn't look, and it worked! God bless the Bayonetta bug forums :)
