Bayonetta PC boss fight Chapter II - Vigrid, City of Deja Vu does not show the button prompt at the end of the fight

Hi,

I am playing Bayonetta on PC and the game looks broken. I am at Chapter II - Vigrid, City of Deja Vu the boss fight. The dragon with it's head stuck through the wall. I have defeated the dragon and a cut scene plays. Towards the end of the cut scene there should be a QTE quick time event button prompt. On pressing the button prompt you can progress to the next stage.

No button prompt appears. I am playing with a controller.
Looking at the youtube walkthrough a button prompt shows. Why does it not show on my game?
I have purchased Bayonetta through Steam.

Is the game broken, what can i do?

Either press F8 to turn the UI on (or go into the in-game settings and change UI to on)
