good news for retro gamers who don't want to dust off and reinstal old hardware.

its NOT finally playable

the latest release HAS fixed a lot of the flickering issues but there are still a massive amount of flickering issues still present in the game

i want to be able to play the game from start to finish without any issues or glitches and there is still a long way for cemu to make this happen as its still an early emulator

The fix needs a very stable framerate to work correctly everywhere found that out myself.
In areas where you don't have that (chapter 1 and 2 mostly unless your pc is a beast) it will flicker again so cap your frames at 30 there with RTSS or something.

Yip not playable to me, still flickers later in game even with the setting in debug on GX2DrawDone(), still audio desync at times and theres no shadows, so characters often have demonic eyes lol, performance could be better and when running at 4k res there are broken effects so a bloom reduce is needed

It's playable, what you want is perfect emulation which could be years off from now if it ever happens at all.

thats not true

wii emulation didnt take that long because they used/adapted dolphin (the gamecube emulator) to run wii games but slightly differently

there working REALLY damn fast with cemu when u actually think about it because were is the fully working vita emulator? or the original xbox emulator? or the fully working ps3 emulator?

I want the vita emulator for persona 4 golden andmaybe 2 other games and thats it. Yet all i really want cemu for is bayonetta 2 and thats pretty much it

I've completed this game yesterday, almost no flickering and audio problems. But framerate was perfect. Game is incredible, better than first one. Love it.

Saying that... not exactly on PC, If you consider the fact that bayonetta 1 is actually playable on just PC from Steam right now (without the use of cemu) ~-~ .

game still isnt working for me. downloaded the latest cemu and its still flickering like crap the minute i get into the city. Its annoying because level 1 works perfectly but the minute level 2 opens up my game flickers like mad and it goes slow as a snail

With GX2DrawDone() ON in debug menu?
JOHN30011887 Sep 3, 2017 @ 8:45am
yip as i said above there is still flickering in the city even with GX2DrawDone() on, yes its less but still there so more work needed
You guys need more powerful per-core cpu. Since the emulator can only use a few cores to emulate stuffs. Your 8 -10 core cpu doesn't matter , only high power per core matter. GPU also doesn't help almost at all , it uses like 10-20% of your gpu at best because you are bottlenecked by a few cores of cpu.

OR it could be cemu still needs a lot of work done to it

Does it have to be one or the other though?

Of cousre tall emulators need more works and this one is just a low version 1.9.1. The thing is people with faster per-core cpu can run it at max fps so they think it's playable while your cpu is not fast enough for the emulator at the current state. Thus to make the game playable at this moment there is not much option other than using a faster cpu.

BTW there is dimnishing return for performance for every emulator , if a version 3.0 come out in 2 year from now it's not going to boost performance as much as from version 0.5 to 1.0 so if you can't even get a playable framerate (~30) at the moment l doubt you are not going to be able to play it at max fps by 2019 with the same cpu.
