Bayo 2' IP isnt trademarked to Nintendo, Wonderful 101 is tho. There is a bit of diference.
At least with Bayonetta 2's case, Sega can try to push for a PC release (or come to terms with Nintendo, since they will have to, if they ever want to re-release Bayo 2 somewhere else other than the WiiU).
The first days there were even people buying multiple copies and gifting them just to show that if you give a pc gamer a good game that actually works they'll line up to give you money no matter the age.
If tomorrow Breath of the Wild came out on PC and worked almost flawlessly it would sell in a couple hours more than it has on the switch since it's release. Kind of moronic in my opinion to lose that much money just because you want people to buy a console you're gonna discontinue in a couple years but whatever. Just the japanese being japanese. (this rant on Nintendo is out of the fact they probably won't release bayo 2 on pc because they paid for it and we all know how Nintendo is about their properties, they rather see them burnt to the ground than on other platforms)
Funny you say that, CEMU's patreon has come up ALOT in donations, manly because people wanna play Breath of the Wild on PC.
So much $$$ infact, that the team behind it is actually focusing alot on getting the game playable on the emulator (and to an extend, its already 100% playable :D )
Pirates will never stop, they always find a way to avoid paying and it's not because they want to try it before buying nor any other weak excuse, they just don't want to pay for the Devs hard work.
The best way to fight pirates is not with draconian DRM (sooner or later it will get cracked) but like Gaben has said, give the customers a better experience and they will pay.
Yes. Neither Sega or PG is allowed to port Bayonetta 2 without paying Nintendo.
Nintendo is stubborn on things like this, so it won't happen.
At best Switch gets a port.
Remember Sega, Sony and Microsoft refused to fund Bayonetta 2.
It only exists because of Nintendo.
Or maybe Sega can wrestle a deal with Nintendo to get Bayo 2 on all 4 platforms, cause Sega can also deny a Switch port if they so desire.
Well. Noone can wrestle much with Nintendo which is proven in gaming industry for 40 years.
Nintendo even stopped the Goldeneye remakes which is a old movie license.
Remember Goldeneye and Bayonetta 2 were both GOTY contenders, so they will stay exclusive.
Sega would never buy Bayonetta 2 from Nintendo, because its too much money.
Remember Nintendo won't benefit much of porting Bayo 2 to PC or other consoles.
As PG and Sega said 2 years ago. Bayonetta 2 can't be ported to anything without Nintendo's permission.
Nintendo is stubborn as hell, and is still today.
PG Hoped that Nintendo would fund Bayonetta 3 too, because Sony and MS don't think its worth it.
I finished Bayonetta 2, 3 years ago myself.
I had to pay 90 bucks for Bayonetta 2 on release to get it in a big book box with Art Book, Poster and separate retail covers for both Bayonetta games.
Limited to only 15.300 copies worldwide. "First Print Edition".
No port doesen't mean noone can play it. After all, Wii U is available for everyone and not hard to find.
Tell that to Travellers Tales, who managed to get Nintendo to give them the OK to port Lego Undercover to ps4, PC, Xbox , Switch and out of the Wii U exclusivity.
Sometimes David can indeed "win over" Goliath :P
I don't know where you found that info, but Nintendo wasn't involved in Lego city at all.
TT themselbes decided to release it as timed exclusive on Wii U.
Nintendo never funded it or published.
The only ones TT had to ask for a port Lego City was themselves.
How could it be a struggle to port it then? ;)
In worst case TT had to ask Warner Games. Nintendo have no say at all in any Lego game.
Because it was solely published by Nintendo up until somewhere in 2016? TT (and Warner Bros) Had to actually go into talks with them to get the game released on PC & Consoles (including the switch).
Sega and Platinum (mostly sega) could try to do the same thing.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ your taste is garbage
In Bayonetta 2 case its different. PG and Sega isn't allowed to port any game funded by Nintendo.
Do you believe yourself, or the head of Platinum Games. Mikami?
He clearly said this 3 years ago.
If you wanted B2 ported, you had to ask Nintendo. That would be as easy to ask for as Zelda port. Mikami's own words.
I belive the boss of PG more than any rumour on time on web.
As mentioned earlier. Its already been on Wii U for years. Nothing is stopping anyone who want to play it.
If people wanted B2 this badly, they would buy a Wii U for it. Actually a bunch of people did.
