Okay with keyboard?

So I've been thinking I'm going to buy Bayonetta but my whole thing is I have a question first, is the game really uncomfortable and awkward with a keyboard, as I don't have a controller?

game is fine with K+M, max out camera senstivity and youre good. Only thing is and I didnt even notice I was doing this is you have to hold left alt to lock on but I just played the whole game free aiming and I did fine.

There is a game mechanic tied to locking on (she blows a kiss which can prevent enemies from doing their attack), and you don't even need to lock on ever except for launchers and stingers since the game has a good soft lock.

yeah, you are only intended to use it in conjunction with one button press in order to be able to hold back/forward without Bayonetta simply turning that way. It's not a lock-on like in Souls games.

Just realized the keyboard does suck a giant sloppy fat Russian ♥♥♥♥, I play the game for about an hour try to play again later and I all the key bindings are not set? Wtf? I have to set every key binding manually now, and there isnt even a reset to default option, I don't know if I've ever played a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PC game without a reset to defauly option. And since I wasnt far in the game I have to assign things when i dont know what half of them ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are.

Try a PS4 or PS3 controller. I think you'll find that more enjoyable than sucking a giant soviet sausage. Not that I've tried that. Going to take your word on it.

So get a wired 360 controller. Or one of the afterglow third party ones. Native support for tons of games, and no third party software crap like with PS3 and PS4 controllers.

A wired 360 controller second hand will be a wise move for this game. A bone pad or dual shock will of course work just fine

I never played on keyboard games any harder on inputs than shooters.. that means I'm having a hard time learning to play on keyboard and mouse.

On the bright side, when I finish this game getting only pure platinum in hard mode, I will have no problem playing anything else.

This game is like a hairy Russian pee pee, you think it's good, but then you realize it doesnt work. No popshot, and no reset default controls button.

Might be too late by now, but here's a fix: Go into the keyboard control option menu and press the 'home' button - this will reset the controls.
