Umbran Tears of Blood - crows not registering (resolved)
(Edit) The Extras menu doesn't track crows because it can't keep track of multiple save files, whereas the achievements are universal. To view your total tears (achievements + crows) in any given save, view the Rarities book in the inventory.

(Original post) I've noticed that, when checking my Umbran Tears of Blood from the Extras menus, it only seems to be counting my achievements. Each of the glowing red crows should also count towards the total, but aren't. This happening for anyone else? It's very annoying because an awesome accessory is unlocked when you get 50 tears - not a big ask on previous versions of the game, but difficult if it means getting every achievement.

Get it through your thick head: None of us have a cracked version of the game, we bought and downloaded the game directly through Steam. It does NOT track in-stage collected Umbran Tears in the Extras menu, only the ones through achievements.

Nice reading comprehension you got there. Nowhere did I say you haven't bought the game. Tons of people are using the cracked version regardless because the steam_api.dll that comes with this game is broken and the game is unplayable in its original state.

You say it does not track the tears and achievements in the Extra menu, and you are wrong. it does. Want me to post a screenshot? The only situations in which the tracking doesn't work is a) if you do certain things on a difficulty lower than Normal (which is intended and was no different in the console versions) and b) if you put part of the CODEX crack into your Bayonetta main folder, because for some reason it has some file in it that turns of the achievements and tears in the Extra menu.

If you use the normal steam files these things WILL be shown in the Extra menu if you unlock them correctly.

Yes, please do post a screenshot - I will too.
First, my extras menu. I guarantee I have not altered anything in the game files. See how it's only registered achievements?

Now compare to the Rarities book. Now the crows are registered.

Perhaps you misunderstood that I was only talking about the tears of blood collected from crows. Or perhaps it's just a weird but common bug that you haven't experienced for some reason. But there's no reason to start saying people have fiddled with their files.

Or maybe (probably) the Extras menu isn't even supposed to track crows because multiple save files would confuse it?!

This happens to me as well but I think it's "normal", just a bug on the Extra menu. It's like this on the console versions too.

Game supports multiple save files. That's why it won't show the crows in Extras.

How would you keep track of crows over 7 files for example?

P.S. This forum needs more sticky threads.

Yes, as I supposed a couple of posts ago. Probably time to update the original.

Maybe there's a reason to tell Sega about it? I think they can give us official explanation of this.

Do we need an explanation. The reason is obvious.

So you're a troll then? We've said a thousand times over we are NOT using a crack and you can't seem to understand. We also specifically said it ONLY tracks achievements in the Extras menu. If you weren't just trying to troll it would have occurred to you that a cracked version can't track achievements. Do you have brain damage or you're just that bad at trolling? There's no way you're not trolling, especially with trying to be cheeky about the reading comprehension part when you'd have to have zero to spew the diarrhea you do.
