Umbran Tears of Blood - crows not registering (resolved)
(Edit) The Extras menu doesn't track crows because it can't keep track of multiple save files, whereas the achievements are universal. To view your total tears (achievements + crows) in any given save, view the Rarities book in the inventory.

(Original post) I've noticed that, when checking my Umbran Tears of Blood from the Extras menus, it only seems to be counting my achievements. Each of the glowing red crows should also count towards the total, but aren't. This happening for anyone else? It's very annoying because an awesome accessory is unlocked when you get 50 tears - not a big ask on previous versions of the game, but difficult if it means getting every achievement.

yeah iv noticed this too and was worried if they count or not. the counter in the extra menu says 47 however i have already unlocked the accesory from getting 50...so it looks like they do count, but for some reason its just not showing the total correctly.

Yeah it doesn't show in the Extras menu for some reason. You can still see it in the in-game menu in the book though so it should be counting towards the 101 total... I hope.

If they would fix this, the AA, update it so gun models on the X button would work, and add some more graphics options, the game would feel complete. Edit: I forgot about fixing cutscenes for arbitrary resolutions.

On a similar note, how can I check the scores I got for each stage? I could have sworn that was possible on the PS3 version, but I can't even look at leaderboards on the PC version, it never loads and I have to end the game manually and restart.

on the chapter select screen, pres the right bumper and theres a play history option which shows your scores across all difficulties, but you need to beat the game first for it to show up.

the leader boards do show up, but it takes absolutely ages to the point where it looks like its crashed.

It happens if you use the cracked version. The game keeps track of all you did but doesn't give you the achievements and doesn't count the umbran tears you have collected until you connect to steam using the legal version.

The legal version doesn't track the umbran tears (crows) in the extras menu either. Do you know if there's a way to keep track of how many left are there in each stage?

i cant say for cracked/pirated, the steam bought version also doesnt keep track of tears if you look at them from the extras menu

the only way to track them is to look in your rarities book while playing a level, open the item/pause menu and go along to your books, its in one of those.

Confirmed, the game still keeps track of the tears you've collected and counts them toward unlocks regardless if it shows them in the extras menu.

I've just realized that the reason why the extras menu doesnt show collected tears is because they are tracked through your save file, so i dont think theres actually anything wrong with the game, just misleading.

That's good to hear. How did you confirm it? I'm sure I have more than 50 in all (achievements + crows) but perhaps I've over-estimated the crows.

Edit: Confirmed indeed! Turns out I just had to visit Rodin's shop to get the unlocked accessory prompt.

all my Umbran Tears of Blood are registering perfectly. But my Achievements just don't register. I only have Achievement up to Chapter 2 where you jump over the incoming Rail Car thing. but after that, Boss Achievements, Chapters and everything else just wont unlock.

has anyone experience this?

If you cared about items for achievements then you can use cheat codes to buy them, but they are pricey.

i'm kind of care about getting the achievements too. like.. as a reminder that i've once done that supertricky combo thing. so i can look back when i was like 70 years old and said 'i did that' with a toothless smile.

This is simply wrong. It tracks them just fine. The ponly reason for steam achievements and tears in-game not unlocking is a cracked version. Remove the crack and copy the save data from the crack save location to your steam save folder and everything will unlock after you load a game.

Get it through your thick head: None of us have a cracked version of the game, we bought and downloaded the game directly through Steam. It does NOT track in-stage collected Umbran Tears in the Extras menu, only the ones through achievements.

Hi everyone! I'm not sure, but Xbox 360 version of Bayo has tracked the tears through the Extras menu. It was 7 years ago and I don't remember for sure. And my Xbox already gone. Can anyone check this?
