Lots of stuttering and low fps.
I get a solid 60 frames per second (according to steam) in the game but the game is more choppy than any game running on 20 fps which seems incredibly strange.

Does anyone also have strange problems like this?

What are your specs? If you have an Nvidia you might want to check your Vsync settings.

Especially give the specs of your screen and what type of cable you're using.

Are you running something heavy in the background?

The game can run on a fricking toaster at 4K

Will try with amd next. The behaviour on my nvidia is definitly strange.

On AMD I get about 30fps, unfortunatly during cutscenes I get a stunning 2 fps.
That 60fps footage of digitalfoundry is very smooth and nowhere what I get on either of my pcs. Quite unfortunate. I also have a 8gb vram card. (AMD Radeon R9 290X OC 8G and AMD FX-8320)

Drivers are up to date ofc.

I have changed all settings to lowest. This has not changed anything about the 30fps in gameplay and 1-2fps during cutscenes.

I had a problem like this. Try to set lower resolution possible, but MAX all other settings, then watch.

Changed to lowest possible resolution. 1-2fps. Even if i were to wait for the cutscene to end. At 2fps i would be sitting here some days.

FX8350 / R9 390 user here... Same exact thing happening to me. Fearing this has something to do with FX processor optimization... but it's not like this game stresses our CPUs at all. It uses all cores and runs about 15-20% on each thread with a solid 60fps on that opening sequence.

As soon as that first cutscene with the klan looking people (sorry not familiar with the game at all), the 3fps curse appears, then the beginning of the next level's cutscene runs at 30 and starts a stuffer fest. Then in the control tuturial I'm getting a pretty crappy 35-40fps... meehh

So as of right now this looks like a game I'll unfortunately have to wait to either get patched or more likely play after I have a new Ryzen build in a couple months

Who knows if it will ever get patched. The game is unplayable for me with it's constant micro stutters. Wish I would've just waitied to buy it.

There's a pinned thread from a SEGA dev at the top of the General Discussions page. Part of it reads:

We do read this forum, and we’re seeing that some of you are reporting issues such as frame drops. Rest assured we are investigating, and a patch is imminent.

Let us all hope for the best!
