there is a high chance you have directx from other games installing it for you but c++ you usually have to go and manually download
im using the 2010 versions
also i think its best to get the x86(32bit) and x64 versions cause you need both (if you have a 64bit os that is)

Just don't want to take some random files from a YT video above and put them in my OS folders unless I have 1) good confidence they are not harmful/tampered with and 2) it'll solve the problem with their game and I'm not just wasting 200 megs for nothing.
I can try the official links you provided but that's what the game came with right?
the youtube video i dont have any idea about i just assumed you where missing visual c++
if you have them installed x64/x86 up to the newer ones i dont think the 2010 version will be any different
