So, how can I actually keep my saves without a crack?

I placed the data into a said folders from CODEX' save folder, but I can't load them in game.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Your save files are in your Steam location

What are you saying about CODEX? Were you playing an illegal version of the game and now you want to import into Steam?

He was using the crack on his legit copy because of the steam api error that was fixed in the patch the other day.

It doesn't work.
And to make things clear, I used to play with the crack on steam, but as mentioned previously I decided to finally uninstall it when the patch was released. And now I can't load the game with all the progress I've made while playing with crack.

It may be steam cloud related. If you still have your save from the codex folder, you could copy it into the normal folder after disabling cloud and seeif that works.
