Did I miss the path to True Ending?

I usually like to get True Ending on my first runs through the games.

The guide I read said I had to do something about a dogoo quest for Histoire, but I wasn't able to enter the Guild until Part 2. Gold Dimension of the game, and I don't see the dogoo quest here.

Did I miss it? Do I have to replay it?

I don't mind if I have to replay it.

I replayed Rebirth 2 god knows how many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ times.

Yep you missed it. It's the only thing I missed and I couldn't get the true ending.
I was in the same situation as you. Just play through, don't restart, since you get some good 'flag' items for NG+ which help with speed and no encounters on world map.

That's really weird though. How did I miss it if the guild menu never showed up in any of the towns I visited in the Zero Dimension chapter? Even in the part where Neptune went home, there was no Guild so I couldn't finish the quest even though I knew what I was supposed to be looking for.

Does it only show up on NG+?

What exactly am I missing here

It's in normal game, just has a very small window.

The timing I say might be a bit off, so someone can correct this if they want.
The quest becomes available as soon as you are in part 2 and Nep's story. Literally straight away. Your first task for that chapter is to go to some dungeon and clear it. As soon as you do this the quest disappears.
What I usually do is accept quests, clear dungeon while killing/collecting for quest, finish dungeon, hand in quest. But once you clear the dungeon it's gone for good. So that doesn't work :(.
So as soon as you start Nep, ignore everything else and do the quest, then continue.

You're supposed to kill 8 Dogoo's at the beginning of Neptune's Arc in Hyper Dimension Neptunia G. Whose guide are you following?

That's LITERALLY right where I am right now. But the Guild does not have that quest. I JUST started Neptune's arc and did nothing else.

"Converse: Neptune & Histoire Events
Go to the Guild and accept “First, Some Practice”
Head to First-Gen CPU’s Sanctuary Dungeon and kill 8 Dogoos
Report quest and view Histoire’s sub event "Like an Old Acquaintance?"
After IF and Compa join the party, raise your shares to 60% through quests (or Public Relations Lv. 7) then head to the Basilicom and VIEW Histoire’s sub event "Matching Memory" (NOT Compa’s)
After viewing Compa’s event, go to the guild and accept “Histy’s Extermination Request 1”
Head to First-Gen CPU’s Sanctuary Dungeon again and kill 10 Delinquent Cats
Report quest and view Chuko's sub event "Search For a Childhood Game"
Go to the Guild and accept “Histy’s Extermination Request 2”
Go to Sakura Tree Row and kill 10 Red Dogoo’s
Report quest and view Chuko's sub event "Youthful Extremes""

Note: If you go after IF to Sakura Tree Road and complete the dungeon before completing the "First, Some Practice" guild quest AND viewing the sub event you are locked out of True End Route.

Note: After getting compa in your party there is an immediate plot advancing compa event (Red ! mark) if you view this before viewing the histoire sub event at 60% shares you are locked out of the True End route. (since Nep keeps all of her money/items from Zero Dimension do not be afraid to farm up money for using public relations to boost shares in Zero Dimension arc)

So long as you see both "Like an old Acquaintance?" and "Matching Memory" sub events then you simply need to complete both Histy's Extermination Request 1 and 2 to complete the True Ending Requirements for Neptune's arc.

This is the most complicated part of the True ending route and will be the one people most commonly mess up on. Everything else is simple. In Zero Dimension arc view all events both main and sub. In Hyperdimension Noire/Blanc/Vert get to 40% shares and view the related CPU sub event. In Heart Dimension Arc view all sub events (Green ! mark) on the Heart Dimension map.

It's silly but I'm super paranoid I'll miss the Zero dimension events cause although it's supposed to be easy there aren't specific instructions.

The instructions are detailed enough. Just make sure to view all the event/sub events in Zero Dimension including when Neptune gets transported to Hyperdimension by herself and you'll be fine.

STOP following the other guide which causes this mess.
