I haven´t read all this, but please bring us Cross Edge first. Its it´s predessor game.
And even Etna and Prinny were there, too

Man, Cross-Edge iis absurdly difficult right off the bat. And that's with DLC armor.
It's not an enjoyable game for that reason.

It has a high tactics aspect, so it´s more to the Agarests than to Nep games.

Well, that's probably true, but with the DLC, Record of Argarest war Zero doesn't get difficult until almost all the way through the second generation. :)

Cross Edge is like, "What's logical difficulty spikes again?"
I liked the game, but I just can't get over the bizarre sudden jump.

Like all those Compa games of that age, DLCs were quite usefull! Nep games changed that, especially those Rebirths, way too easy even compared to PS3 versions.
Those DLC weapons are rather upper end, and with every "stage" in those games the advantages melts away. Basically it´s a payed Restart+. But Agarest´s DLC weapons were unique ones, not in the game to unlock ; )

Yeah, That's why they lasted so long. But Cross Edge was another story alltogether, with the DLC. :)

I think this was the charme of that age games. For experts.
Nowaday´s games are too easy, it´s for the mass. And disabling random fights in FFs is close to reducing them to Visual novels! ... Or yust watch the events on Youtube ; )

Cross Edge dd not come out in 1988 to 1994. :P
So, no, it's not exactly in the range for the experts only games. :)
ACE Jul 16, 2016 @ 10:36pm
Judging from dificulty, compared to nowaday´s most easy games.....
davidb11 Jul 16, 2016 @ 10:42pm
To be fair, most games nowadays are more average than easy.
With some exceptions, of course.

I grew up in Ninendo Hard days. :P

Well, i started with SNES, but take all that games compared to now. FFs are easier with those boosters and disable random encounters. I think its to the fact people might smash their mobile devices if getting upste, and those ports here inherit this low difficulty....

Well, Trinity is a NISa game, so most unfortunately.
Cross Edge is NISa in US, but KOEI in Europe. Don´t know who might bring it to PC!
Agarest was: NA Aksys Games, EU Ghostlight, HyperDevbox (Android, iOS)
So the questionis: who holds the rights for PC, if anyone does. Or it has to be licensed afterwards!
red13seto Jul 24, 2016 @ 7:43am
please not koei there pc ports are meh and way overpriced
