I'll talk about your cons:
- Story progresses slowly? Welcome to JRPGs
- 10+ minutes cutscenes? What are you smoking?
- And? You were just complaining that the cutscenes were too long, but now you're complaining that they give you a chance of going and do something else in between.
- Corny? Welcome to Neptunia, where the fourth wall doesn't exist.
- So you're saying you've had 10 hours of story in those 14 hours? Because aside from going into dungeons, there isn't much else to do. You're lying. Also, the dungeons are actually either just as big or bigger than they were in previous games.
- It's a JRPG, those tend to be very linear, story wise, but there are plenty of dungeons to find and explore, and those tend to be your only "choices".
- That's because you're not far into the game. You'll have plenty of characters later.
- See above.
you are stupid
i know what a jrpg is lmfao i was not born yesterday.
and yes alot of the time spent looking at static images dont progress the story, and alot of stuff is repeated 15 times, i feel like the game thinks im ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sometimes.
if i have to watch another that is nothing but i hate this food, or lets shower together im gonna shoot myself.
the naked teens as a pro was a joke.... but yes there are shots of nakedness for people like nep pudding to stop and jerk off too....
i dont know what you mean by the game gives you a chance to do something else between the story parts. atleast in the whole 1st chapter your missing skill for exploration, so the only thing you could do is go mindlessly grind, and the bosses are easy anyway so i dident feel like grinding was a legit activity at that point.
i do watch anime, i know anime can be corny. i do enjoy it. ive played plenty of rpgs and jrpgs.
this post was intended for people new to the series so they know what to expect.
if you want to shoot me for trying something new and finding that i think its just ok compared to other games than fine.
The eggplant thing is a recurring gag from earlier games. (All incarnations of Neptune have an exceedingly strong dislike for eggplant, to the point where it physically affects them.) And it builds up to Arfie breaking free by subverting gullible Nep's good intentions, so it's not all needless fluff. It's part plot and part character building.
The shower/bath scene is a trope. Practically any anime that does slice-of-life segments will eventually have one where part of the cast talks about their current situation; future outlook; etc. The Neptunia series is all about videogame and anime tropes and subverting or inverting them, you should expect it to hit on those type of scenes.
Also, grinding is an accepted part of this series, considering the max level is 999.
it just felt like i was on rails the entire time, and there was nothing to explore.
i love the combat, im not trashing the game it is enjoyable i just feel like the whole 1st chapter could deter people who may be interesting.
i dont like how often your characters are split up, i hate that mechanic. i want to build my team and its annoying when the game forces you to use certain character. so far my favorite is IF and ironicly she wears the most cloths lmfao. and its the same thing in the begining of the second chapter. introduce new characters, let you check em out for a split second and boom, once again your all split up and you have to chose 4 senarios. blah.
i feel like the game teases you by showing you a cool mechanic then taking it away. im sure it gets better but if those mechanics were introduced and stuck around it would be more interesting at this point.
i just started the second "game" and im pretty much invincable now. there are very few mobs that can actually hit my characters unless they crit. in this aspect i just wish it was harder.
but i get it, you guys really enjoy it so you feel you need to defend it. its cool, but realize this game is definatly not everybodys cup of tea. there is nothing wrong with not thinking its the best thing in the world.
you are really a stupid flamebait troll sack of sh*t, you can choose not to carry over LV or items
completing the game in a few days, i bet all you do is skipping the game. just GTFO plox.
pls go do your homework or something, 7 years old bro
um no. actually im disabled, so i have a bit of free time. im not flame baiting at all. im sorry i offend you so much. its apparant you worship this game. and the 1st story arc took me 14 hours. if i was just skipping everything im sure it would have taken me no time at all.
go look at them nudy nep picks and calm down. im sure there are games i like that you dont exactly warship either.
i also have a save file right after the dimension z storyline where the second arc starts. when you hit new game there is no "cancel all the lvling ive done" button. perhaps you misunderstood.
im enjoying the second chapter much more than the 1st. if i were to play thins game again i would start from there. hence the save file :D. that 1st chapter is weaksauce. would not play again. why. because there is not enough to do. 2nd chapter fixes that and gives me reasons to grind some mobs so thats great.
i also found a scout that switchs out dungeon mobs for harder ones, so i solved the too easy problem to. unless im doing guild quests i use that. im not using dlc equipment.
and grow the ♥♥♥♥ up....
Too much Uzume? @~@ But her design looks great!
Told you it opens up. But yeah, a lot of games have a rather weak beginning, when they try to set up the setting. For some, it lasts too long.
Sure it can be played just for the combat but it leaves the game pretty hollow, especially as it takes a long time when you are free to form your party.
