once again we are stuck with an abysmal port
i have to sit like 9 feet away in order for the game to not look blurry and jaggy as ♥♥♥♥ but hey at least it's playable and doesn't crash so that's something.
They will have to add it to the engine sooner or later, so let´s hope they´ll put "that" to the old ones, too!
Never buy at the top of the market nor the bottom.
You don't upgrade enough you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥, you upgrade too much you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
So, you could get two 1060s for 1/2 of a titan´s prise!
No surprise Nvidia disabled SLI on 1060s!
it will upscale to 4k and that's it.It will run games at 1080p@60fps

That is captured mid-render so there are some chunks missing but the game is definitely being rendered to 1080p after what I did. The game does some blurring (which i'm sure I can disable) to mask the fact that it renders at a lower quality so that makes what i'm doing not really look visually different atm, plus the colored borders around the characters also draw at a lower quality so that gives the appearance of a much lower resolution.
I'm just putting this post up for now to see if there's any point in me continuing what i'm doing. I'm very new to DX11 (I use OpenGL mainly) plus i'm usually decently busy so progress might be a bit slow but the plan is to copy the functionality of Hyperresolution Neptunia so anyone can render the game at whatever resolution they want.
i doubt these developers actually care so it's up to the community to fix their game
They will more be 3K games upscaled to 4K, or better AA at FullHD.
I expect a real 4K model next year, competition for Scorpio!!!
The NEO is made for VR googles!!!!
Developers do not tend to develop for a minority. And many developers do NOT create their textures at higher resolutions than 1080p (including this one I'm pretty sure), so don't expect miracles from a 4K mod for Megadimension, it'd be useless anyway, unless you like blurry stuff.
Turning this game into 4K would be like reworking 50% of the game from scratch, so don't expect that to happen.
However, now that 1080p is well defined as the norm, expect their next (or after the next) opus on new hardware (PS4, etc), to be at native 1080p for textures, especially sprites and menus, which are 2D and do not scale well.
If the devs are clever, they'd develop at 4K directly, but like I said, 4K community is a minority, so don't get your hopes high.
I believe they cheated a little bit for the older ones, upscaled their textures with several subtle sharpening filters.
I'd want to look at it positively too, but if the assets were in high res, it makes no sense that they didn't implement that from the start.
i have to grab another screen 4k i guess if the console dont have DP....
