There is Big Metal Dogoo in Senmuu Labyrinth, which gives raw 10000000 XP, but even despite that getting to level 999 requires killing him hundreds or even thousands of times.
Especially on English versions of game, which give only +5%XP bonus for 100 hits as opposed to +75% in other versions.

Using specific scouts you can get +100% XP bonus, so he will give 20000000XP. With that getting to level 100 from 70 will require defeating him only 3 or 4 times. Don't forget to equip everyone except S-Sha and Uzume with disc with Racing chip on it.
The problem is that you need to get him (he's on 4th floor) while avoiding all powerful monsters, which with enemy change are level 95.

Already got the white orb flag...
so it easy :3
Cheat Engine.

Because Big Metal Dogoo gives you not enough XP.

A good way to boost exp in fight more is playing with Rom and Ram doing the rush attacks, since their rush attacks are full magic, the Dogoo won't take any damage from magic attacks, you can use that to boost combos. You'll also have to paralyze the Dogoo, using Rom, (Nitroplus) if you have DLC, you can go up to 500 combos with a little bit of luck, but the best is to put all the exp boost scouts.

Also an important fact : It can take up to 3000 fights to get to lvl 999, don't forget to bring some Forbidden Twigs

I'm not going to bother myself with lvl. 999 this time. Too much grinding for almost nothing. No extra dungeons this time with extra events.

Forget it. I decided to try using Cheat Engine to see how long it would take me. Even after maxing out the exp multiplier, and I'm talking about gaining a few BILLION exp. per battle, I only went from level 391 to 398. You need around 80 million exp to go from 398 to 399.

Going to level 999 would require you to play through the entire game, killing every enemy, with an exp multiplier on and maxed out. Even then, I'm not sure it's possible.

you can just kill metal turd dogoo for weeks at a time....for basically nothing....

i just dont see the point in grinding to level 999 in this game. the colussium battles basically give you bugger all. I just dont see a point in doing them in this game

Well this one tried some new things, some stuff worked, some stuff didn't.

The JP patch shows that they knew where they messed up so assuredly the next main game at least will be better mechanically.

It's just too bad we don't get the JP patch.

it would take hundreds literally hundreds of hours to grind to level 999 using the dogoo

Only sensible way to do it is by cheating and even then, even then it still takes hours

That doesn't seem bad tbh. If I recall Clione would jump you about 10 levels per battle in RB1.

There is someone who managed to get his Nep to 999.
Apparantly he killed that metal dogoo over 3000 times.
