What is lily rank?

It's like how friendly the front and rear character close to each other. You get some benefits from them if they have a certain level of lily. For example, Neptune on the front and Rom at the back, you get a few benefits if they have approriate level of lily.

In order to increase lily rank, characters must fight on the front side, rear side does not count, Let me bring Rom and Neptune back, Neptune and Rom must be on the front row and won a certain fights to gain lily level, but to gain lily benefits, Neptune must be on front line and Rom at the back or vice veras.

You can have a look in the Party > coupling section, each character has unique lily ability on the top right table with the three abilties and the lily level requirement. If those abilities are grey, you see that the lily between those two have not met the lily level.

Although, I feel like there might be a bug in some skills because while I was trying to do "win battle without healing" thingy, The challenge always reset when Neptune heal herself even if the lily level with the rear character was 1, which supposed to be 10.

Not sure if this would help, but these are all I know.

Lily ranks can be obtained in this game by some ways:

1. Just winning fights (all front character gains lily rank between them)
2. Helping other characters, using buffs or items on them.
3. Using lily couple skills (back) or formation skills (front).

The benefits can be obtained when two characters with enough lily rank are coupled, 1 front and 1 rear. Basic benefit are the support, it can be offensive (STR and INT up) or defensive (VIT and MEN up). The other benefits are some passives the rear character give to front character and vice versa, but they must got enough lily rank to be active. For example, IF can increase EXP gained, or Compa reduces the SP amount required for skills.

if your neptune is high enough level she will learn regenerate which is natural for her so if its neptuune healing its because she has that skill D: its not a bug. sorry to derail lol just wanted to mention this

Oh I see, I misunderstood "the whole thing". Yeah yeah now I get it. I went to look around and found it in Status. She will always have her ability, but will get abilities from the paired character with lily levels. Thanks.
