Incredible game.
It takes the form of a choose-your-own adventure with obvious roguelite mechanics and deck building that proves to be fairly addictive and interesting.

Its not perfect by any means. There is seemingly no way to sell cards you don't want, there is no custom deck from the outset, and higher difficulties are a bit more frustrating than fun due to the way the curses work often reducing the rewards for properly building your deck. The translations are also a bit spotty. Later missions can also feel a bit exhausting as enemy health values rise if you didn't properly spec for damage and before you unlock more decks the beginning can feel like a drag.

However, none of that is enough to make the game any less fun at its core especially if you stick with it. The world is actually fairly interesting and filled with interesting characters with the longer storylines being rather enthralling if you survive going through them. There is plenty of serious storytelling alongside absurdity that keeps things from feeling stale.

The gameplay loop holds solid so dying and going through stuff again rarely feels punishing and while higher difficulties do feel unfair if the curse system doesn't bother too much its mostly just a numbers game with somewhat higher rewards.

The options for builds and the post/pre-game shop make things a bit easier to swallow too.

Its overall a incredible fun time that I find myself addicted to.
