yeah that was and wasn't the issue, I had not closed the game since the event began so my info was not updating correctly, I thought it might be that so I reopened the game now my boost is displayed correctly.
Sounds accurate. I just completed the event myself and ended in a similar situation. 38 time blocks (after levelling the hobbies to 75) and 132 cookies (because I purchased the 60cks bundle a few times) left to spare.
I didn't prestige any of the jobs or hobbies. I bought the multipliers (one 64x) and used a few 12h time skips (I don't recall the exact amount, maybe seven at most) and I can't recall now if I bought any time blocks, but judging by the amount I was left with, I'm pretty sure people can come up with better strategies.
And if you'll have to spend any real money on the events, recommend the 16USD diamonds bundle, because I spent 225 diamonds purchasing the 60cks bundle.
I interpret that as a no, so I would not recommend spending diamonds on cookies that you don't actively need.
