This Art Nerf is Ridiculous
Art got nerfed at some point and Bonnibel's Lover requirement is impossible as a result. My 200 game (started last Saturday) has had everyone through Nutaku at lover for a couple days and could have Iro if I were doing Sports instead of trying to get 40 in all hobbies on this run (bad idea, going to take me ~6 days total). I've been running Art (along with Computers and Zoo) 24/7 since they unlocked and I'm not going to hit Iconoclast by the time I reset this weekend. For reference, the wiki lists Art as having a base time of 1m and requiring a total of 1,417,104 instances to max (at 200 this would take 4.9205 days). I wasn't paying attention to the other ranks and have no idea if the time is still base 1m but the final rank alone (from Hype Machine to Iconoclast) requires 3,242,701 instances. At 200 that rank alone would take 11.26 days. Just to get Lover with Bonnibel.

If this isn't a bug, then maybe Bonnibel could require Artiste? That would put her more in-line with her spot in the line-up.

Is the wiki even accurate anymore?
But yeah, both ZOO and ART take forever now. I earn several levels in MOVIES quicker than their respective final levels.

With 1k prestige and x64 multiplier you will finish Art in around one hour.

Sure? :hp_kyu:

P.S. Girls don't have linear order. For example Quill require much more than Elle, Iro is easier than Bonni and Eva is easier than Luna.
Not a bug, it's intendent.

I have a feeling that, by the time you have enough free Diamonds to buy that x64 Speed Boost (requires 120 Diamonds), that you will have Prestiged to x2048. About 2 years before reaching that magic 120-Diamond milestone.

So here's how an ideal play pattern would work, with completing each girl. Please note these are very rough estimations, and don't reflect some of the "quirks" in the balancing:

Cassie: First session or two (1 day)
Mio: 2 days
Quill: 2-3 days
Elle: 2-3 days
Iro: 3-4 days
Bonnibel: 3-5 days
????: 4-5 days
Fumi: 4-7 days
Bearverly: 4-7 days
Nina: 4-7 days
Alpha: 7 day+
Pamu: 7 day+
Luna: 10 day+
Eva: 10 day+
????: 15 day+
????: 15 day+
????: 20 day+
????: 30 day+

Notice that the "bulk" of content is leaned toward the first 7 days of content. That's actually where people are more likely to stick around, maybe spend money, just are generally "healthier" customers.

After that, I want to create some challenges for completionist and dedicated fans - objectives that will give them a lasting sense of accomplishment.

BTW: This assumes the player invests their free gems in advantageous ways. It's actually pretty easy to waste them. (Please buy some. It makes my life easier).

So yes- the balancing of the current objectives are done for retaining more early players (Cassie's stuff), creating stronger tools for end-game balancing (Magical gift cost increases) and operating under the assumption that players will have the opportunity to earn 50-55 more diamonds just by playing.

So you're both wrong and you don't know how to spell intended. Good job. Please go troll elsewhere as your truisms like "game goes fast when you're at max prestige" are both unhelpful and idiotic.

Well you sound like someone who doesn't deserve advice but instead a smack in the face. >>

Let's ignore the fact that you didn't give any extra information, like how long you'd already had Art going for, or what your speed boost level is or anything. You're taking information from the wiki first of all, which is very likely out of date. The game updates with balance changes every so often, so it's entirely possible that was for an older version of the game when things were different.

As for quoting that from Oji Panda, why? It literally says "ROUGH ESTIMATES", and it was brought up way back in a different patch and balancing state. Also, saying they're in a linear order and then quoting text which clearly states a bunch have the same times meaning you'd be able to do them in different orders makes you look pretty dumb.

Thirdly, Howru IS correct. The girls are in a certain order, but that isn't the order they're completed in. Anyone who knows anything knows that Quill is usually completed after Elle, at least early on when gaining hearts for her is a nightmare. Eva's another well-known case where she's much easier than Luna who precedes her. Also Bonnibel for the record, has always been the first real hurdle in Crush Crush.

I was going to give advice, but instead I'm just going to mock your foolishness. Have fun doing it wrong and making no progress.

Edit: Actually just to really rub it in? They're still right; you need to prestige more. Get to L40 hobbies, level all the girls you can, spend the money on gifts/dates towards achievements then reset and grind some prestige up. Then get good. ¬_¬
