That's kind of interesting. Apparently the Lisa Lam case is one of those internet conspiracy theory trends. I don't know that it's tasteless. The whole point of the game was blending reality with fiction to create something eerie and stomach-churning with a tone of bright normalcy while analyzing the juxtaposition. It's easily one of the best pieces of art I've seen in a while.

That said, the part where he's being creepy about girls he went to high school with was gross. But, again, I think that's to make me dislike Alex more than anything. This game made a lot of bold choices, and I really think they paid off. And it has a trigger-warning on the website. They were as considerate as anyone could expect them to be when making art.
