Just as title says, when I am using the JP voiceover, the movies have no subtitles, i cant find anything in the options :( Am I just blind or is it really without subtitles?

They don't seem to come with subtitles by default...

I had a look in the game files, turns out the game's movie files are just .webm format. Whatever solution Conception II uses to play said .webm files doesn't seem to recognize subtitle files (at least with CCCP, I tried adding a test file to see if it would work). Looks like best option would be if someone hardsubbed them, unless Spike Chunsoft releases a patch with the subtitles.

The movie files themselves are located at SteamApps/common/Conception2/data/root/movie by the way... Now I wonder what happened to the 13.webm file......

edit: shoutouts to Steam censoring a perfectly legitimate file extension just because it happens to resemble a certain part of the body...

It really is irritating. I wanted to use JP, but I can't for now just in case I miss something in a fmv.
most of the words they say in Jp during the movie scenes that I clearly recognize is "are you alright!?" "I'm glad you're right" "look out!" and so fourth so it doesn't bother me much although as you said they should have included subtitles in the movie dialogs.

there's also a possibly of someone able to sub the movies files from the pc game although unlikely.

Hopefully we'll be getting a patch soon, and now I'm curious as to what that video #13 was.

I am guessing there is minimal dialog in the movies so they didn't feel the need to subtitle them? The first movie there is no dialog at all, the second was like 4 lines. For those wondering what was said, IIRC, the girl said "wow" and the red haired guy said like "for real?", then the main character asked if they were ok, then turned around to face the monsters and said like "ok, bring it." Actually after typing that I realize you can probably just watch the english movies in the game folders if you want to find out what is said in any jp movie.

There probably was no video 13. Unlucky number and all. Sometimes devs do silly things like that.

Edit: Actually, movies 3 and 6 are missing also.

And it looks like only 4 movies have any dialog at all, based on the en/jp tags, and the other 3 with dialog are smaller in size than the first movie with dialog.

Yeh subs would be nice. Hopefully it'll be patched.

The game NEEDS a Subtitles option for cutscenes.
There aren't any subtitles if you use the Japanese audio making it hard to understand sometimes.

It's so strange, I'm glad we got the original Japanese audio but I wish they added at least an option for English subs for the cutscenes -_-

There's only 4 short movies with dialog, the first one they might as well be grunting, you don't need to understand japanese to get it, for the second they basically repeat what was said in the movie right after. I'm guessing the last two are similar, so I would say no they don't really "need" subtitles, there's so few movies and they aren't used to advance the plot. It would be nice to have them, but it's probably not worth the effort.

Absolutely unreal how they didn't even bother to sub them, the fact that they are so short makes it even more appalling.

How are they not used to advance the plot? Are you a literal re:tard?

he's sort of right, although I'd have loved to have them subbed, he's right in saying that they don't say nearly anything (finished the game on 3ds), you get that figthing scene at the beginning which is basically "oh my gosh!" and "are you alright?", then the one after they give them uniforms where ruby compliment them about the outfits, and then says they're on top of the fort city and the round thing is the "original core".
After that is all unvoiced stuff till the end barring two scenes where the only line said is "that's not good!" or smt along those lines (u'll see when you get there) and another where the blonde guy acts cool.
The rest is all unvoiced anime scenes, so yeah... doesn't really advance the plot "much", but you're right in saying it'd be better with subs.

So yep, +1 for subs if it's possible would be nice!

Later today I'll take a peek at the Vita version and see what's up... Might just be something odd with numbering

Movie 13 is the "final" ending of the relationship with feene? :D

A subtitle patch is in the works! Please be patient with us.
