No LAN or Direct connect?
Hello i remember having the option to create a lan game or just direct connect to a friend at least on the box version years ago. Today only online multiplayer, is there a way to get back thoses option? I mean the little button to direct connect or create a LAN game.

Are they really gone? If so, try to get your hands on the retail version.

Well yes, when i go to multiplayer in only have the online setup where i used to have the lan on and direct connect. The retail meh, in my mind steam version would have the same content but look like nope.

I had guessed the same, and I feel betrayed, the steam version should have the same content, not even every language the game was published in is avaiable. If they don't patch it, the game is pretty useless to me, and I rather use my retail version, which also just runs fine. Better to buy old games on gog though.

Yes this blows immensely!
I bought the Steam version of "Dawn of war - Dark Crusade" because I wanted to play DoW in widescreen and to be able to play LAN with people whilst having no internet connection.
Now I'm pretty much screwed over as I won't be able to play anything but singel player.
Is this some kind of DRM on a game which in computer terms is ancient?

Weird, really weird. DoW-DC is allready able to use 16:9 dimensions properly, but the cut out of LAN is stupid and fraud, because it was part of the retail version.

Actually the option for LAN play was only recently removed due to the sega update.
The latency with all 4 family members playing is so much worse now.
