Dark Crusade Campaign Question
How does Province Streangth actually work? Does it increase over time or does it increase depending on the number of headquarters that you build during attack and defend games?

it increaess depending on what you build in the province (if you win) and by how many troops/buildings you decide to garrison in there. it will not increase over time for no reason.

Thanks for the reply, does it matter what buildings I build? If I spam buildings all over the province, will that get it to max strength?

No, the strength of a province is calculated by the tier of structures in that province and troops garrisoned there eg. building barracks all over the map will not make any difference, but having in, maybe Chaos's case, have a structure like sacrificial pit( forget the name) or a machine pit will increase the province's strength.

so the more high tier buildings that I build, the greater the province strength becomes?

CrYpTiC: its not clear to me how exactly it works.. and I've been playing the game for years now.. its some function of tiered buildings and garrison troops. Its not just upgraded listening posts and things like that, because I normally try to control the entire map before winning to make sure defense goes as easy as it can.. but certainly troops garrisoned + tiered production is a factor.

The key is:
Tier 1 with no other building is a 1.
Tier 2 with a vehicle depot and other fancy things is a 3.
Tier 3 with all the trimmings is a 5. Please note that duplicate buildings do not contribute to this score not even duplicate HQs.
Adding reinforcements increases it from there up to a level 10.

I have played this game way too much.

Don't be afraid to build secondary bases if you need more generators, turrets or just a shorter walk to the enemy base (very important with the Necron. Slowpokes)
