Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Dark Crusade

I can't control my units when they start attacking something
I can control them just fine before, but the second they spot an enemy anything, they won't obey my commands.

What stance are the units in?

First they're aggressive, then I put them in stand by, then I put them in 'no attack'. Nothing seems to work. I don't have this issue with Dawn of War 1, Winter Assault, and Soulstorm.

Do you have any mods installed?

A camera mod, but I also have it on, Dawn of War and don't get this effect.

Hello?

If you have the stance on No Attack, NO ♥♥♥♥ they aren't going to attack the damn thing. But if they're doing nothing...huh.

What are you talking about? This is the complete opposite of my problem.

Really? No one knows?

Well my brother has the same problem only with Soulstorm. I think what you should do is put at least your ranged units on stand ground or the blue stance and when you tell them to move or attack, make sure you tell them to move only short distances. Pathing is a huge problem in the dawn of war games, but you can get used to it. Also, if you have a large mass of units be mindful that you can block your own units with your huge blob in the way of the path. The units in this situation might walk forward first even though you told them to move back. Another thing, lets say you wanted to capture a point with some guardsmen. Perhaps you thought the point was unguarded, OH NO turns out there's an LP2 there! Those guardsmen are not gonna stop to attack that LP2, you need to micro them back to grenade launcher distance or else they're all dead.(Even if you knew there was an LP2 there and you told a capping unit like guardsmen to attack the LP2 from the fog of war it will still lumber into oncoming fire, since it thinks you are asking it to cap) I hope this is helpful to you!
TL;DR Pathing in the game sucks, work your best microing skills through experience with the game, Good luck

LP2?

And I figured out the solution, and it involves the stand ground stance, as you said.

LP2 is the name for a listening post on a strategic point that has been upgraded to have a turret-like thing shooting at enemy units.

You mean to tell me that you never once looked at your options over the course of three years prior to this?
