Mod to Change Space Marine Honor Guard?

I've been trying (and failing) to get through the main campaign. It annoys me greatly that my foes all have full squads and endless vehicles for their honor guards, yet the best thing I seem to get for mine is a Dreadnought, while the rest is just a singular unit that dies immediately. Are there any mods out there that change this and put me on the same level as my foes?

More specifically, I'm looking for a mod that changes the "one-unit as HG" to "regular squads as HG" and the ability to create more than one squad for my HG, like the AI can do.

I wanted a mod like that too, they are pretty useless except in a defensive role on hard. but don't be discouraged, SM can be the most relentless faction marching ever forward even without HG

Any advice for dealing with Defence Level 10 IG areas with SM? I keep getting rolled over by walls of guns before I can build a sizable army, and the limit on how many Whirlwinds I can build is not helping.

don't wait for a sizeable army ;) you can kill harder AI with 4 space marine squads and force commander in skirmish 1v2 while turret defending the other one in 10 minutes. use HG to defend the initial attack then its like normal Skirmish anyway. defend one side with HG + turrets and attack the other. just don't be idle - AI on higher difficulties will always outtech/outproduce you if you wait around in your base. also your veteran tactical marines in HG wait until you can give them rocket launcher heavy weapon against vehicles.
EDIT: I never use whirlwinds. 2 predators take 10 cap landraider takes 3. with the rest you should spam/deep strike dreadnoughts.
