you can queue up orders with shift key - queue up strategic point captures and buildings. that way it will save you a lot of time and concentration. if you're watching a servitor build a building you're NOT doing something else more important.
don't be idle - always attack or defend something. if you turtle, the enemy will always outproduce you.
don't hoard resources - buy more soldiers and attack/capture more points. you want to grow your economy so you can afford big ticket items so you don't cringe when your predator tank blows up. always know what you want to spend your resources on and do it.
mostly you'll want to grow your economy to the point that you can set a rally point in your enemy's base and spam dreadnoughts in there.
while growing your economy you want your military to do area denial - take away or even just un-capture their strategic points if you're in the middle of a battle. try to grow towards your enemies and keep a scout unit to capture out of the way strategic points.
if you're loosing a battle shift the front back to a secured strategic point and reinforce. this will give you enough time to regain morale and reinforce to renew the attack.
it's cheaper to reinforce than to buy a new squad.
specialize your sm squads. İ go for 4 sm squads all with heavy bolters sometimes 1-2 with a flamer and plasma guns and 2 squads with full missile launchers. keep them on seperate ctrl + num groups so you can target the enemies effectively - rockets on vehicles bolters on infantry. when I play 1v2 or 2v3 against harder AI this army composition is already enough to kill one of the enemies.
practice these strategies and you'll go up against insane campaign in no time ;)
Thogh i admit that i´m not really using makro´s and not the best at micro managing. and mainly use my tanks to destroy other vehicles and my marines to kill the infantry(if there are so many enemys i have to split my force on different targets)
Next time i try i will hire my entire Honorguard and all stormbase buildings, seems a bit overkill for a lvl 7 province and hope that i can be more aggressive in the beginning!
I hope i can beat those bloody green mushrooms
EDIT: they're terrible in hard campaign, they're ok in normal. in hard campaign they all have half hp
Didn´t really have any situations where i was under some significant pressure,
Only 2 Provinces left and the Base of the Orks and Necrons. Seems a lot easier to do after trying some of your tips.
Thanks!
