So are necrons just a cheat race?
0 resources for their basic infatry, which not only regen but are also heavy infantry, immortal commander, the flayed ones , being able to win with just 3 units and a commander , why even bother with the other races ?

Don't play Dark Crusade if you want balance, Necrons are extremely broken in this game. Soulstorm has more balanced multiplayer.

i was playing campaign and the necrons seem to just not die at all. Then i tried a skirmish to see how they play and all i needed to level a base was 3 necron basic infantry and a commander, i added a flayed ones after i was already attacking his HQ. like , how do people beat them?

LOL! If you struggle vs AI then that's a skill issue, AI in DoW is a joke, it just get resources faster or slower depending on what difficulty is set to, which doesn't help much as the AI has no idea what it is doing anyway. Playing vs Necron is simple, you have to be aggressive. Cap as many points as possible, with your scouting units (build more than the standard number, this is map dependant but generally you want at least 3 scouts) Try to go for the generators, A Necron player without generators has no way to fight back, and no Necron Warriors are not enough, they cost energy to reinforce, the reinforce time is slow, and they only start off as 3/8, so they die very fast under pressure until Necron becomes T2.5 with both Necron Warrior upgrades. Often a strategy is to mass Units that can pass terrain or deepstrike such as Raptors, Assault Marines, Vespid + Tau Commander, Stormboys, Flayed Ones (Necron v Necron match-up, fight overpowered with overpowered). IG and Eldar struggle with this as IG doesn't have units that can pass terrain and Eldar only has high mobility until T3 (Warp Spiders), so they have to do lots of damage in Tier 1, and keep the pressure on.

(necron warriors have same armour as most basic infantry, Heavy Med) also cron are super overrated and are totally beatable even on dc, the real trick is stopping them getting obelisks to stop the nw from reinforcing

> DC Flayed Ones DPS vs buildings exists

"Necrons overrated"

(ss flayed ones having same damage as dc flayed ones .-.)

Not DPS, sorry HP, is what made them good vs buildings. Necron got hugely toned down in SS. Also immunity to morale, means even under constant fire they can still attack, whereas any other squad would lose morale no matter how much HP and reinforcement.

Nvm i played the game a bit more and i found out where i was doing poorly. I suppose it took me by surprise when i was overstretching with capturing that i forgot to have a rapid response team to start fighting the necrons , since guardsmen can outperform any ranged infantry 8 out of 10 times if they're in good standing . The morale though, been trying the orcs and i think 2 units' moral broke in a total of like 8 fights i had, and that was because i was attacking their listening points. Still, necrons are tough cookies
