But this game sucks horribly normal difficulty normal I was wondering why the tau felt so weak honestly I went to an online match and it actually felt like they were doing things but I come in to this campaign and i got shredded the chaos completely stormed the place had tanks right off the get go I couldn't assault any of the enemies territory because well quite frankly all I do is get rushed by whatever I happen to fight they gain more territory and more special units that its impossible to fight them then when they come to your city you get none of the defenses the enemy get at theirs this game is out right unbalanced in its campaign I felt no hope what so ever that I would win at any point hard ai online don't rush as fast as these campaign ones do I just can't like this...

it's not that difficult, just keep playing and practicing until you get better

Tau are cowardly and excel at ranged combat(if you know what you are doing) over other forms of combat. They are filthy xenos that are weak in all forms of combat despite having so much ranged firepower.
Yet, if you really want to be a good Tau player....Git Gud casul....

Tau don't get turrets because they're not that great for defensive positions. If you want solid defense, go Guard. Tau excel at ranged combat, along with using their auxiliries for everything else. They have great range though, and get power units that are downright murderous. It's about getting them teched up ASAP. If you're fighting Defiler spam though, you may as well pack it in.

The campaign likes to rush in copious amounts when starting off, but it gets easier in time. They just try to kill you at the start. (You're not alone, I've never finished the normal campaign with any race!)

Only attack 1 strength provinces in the early turns, i honestly don't know how you managed to get a defiler spam when the tau are on the other side of the map.

If your not doing good with tau you will do terrrible with imperials. So what you should do is rush 1 stronghold of the faction attacking because when they push your ass they will have double the troops it's like skirmish mode doing a 2 v 1 and the ai cheats but you will get used to it. Maybe try necrons for your early try's on normal
