I'm really new to this game, how do I do the super/ultra combos?
Honestly I bought it for my xbox 360 around a year ago, it was fun but I stopped playing it since i have no idea how to do super/ultra combos. I got it at futureshop brand new on pc again for 5 freaking bucks so why not. Anyways to the point. How the ♥♥♥♥ do you do super/ultra combos? I looked at command list (for Bison) and it has some red left/right movments and all that crap but how do I actually do it? can anyone link me to a good written/video tutorial?

google should probably answer your question pretty well ^^

in short:

bison is a so called "charge character" which means that he does his special moves + super/ultra combos by "charging" them. for example for his ultra 2 you have to hold back like 2-3 seconds and then QUICKLY press forward, back, forward and then all three punch buttons.

it takes some time to get used to, so don't get frustrated when you don't seem to get this to work. oh and if you look closely at the command list you notice that motions that are supposed to be charged are written differently. I think the back arrow on a back charge is white, but usually (if it isn't a charge) it is black, or the other way around.

"normal" characters like ryu or ken usually have a double quarter circle forward motion.

Rule of thumb: Ultras and supers repeat the sequence of their normal move versions.

For normal characters, this means doubling the entire sequence of the move (i.e. Shinku Hadouken, 236 236 + PPP/QCF QCF + 3P in quick succession; Final Atomic Buster, two complete 360 spins + 3P, and so on).

For charge characters, this means holding (charging) the first direction for a while, then quickly pressing the rest (Bison's Knee Press Nightmare, hold back for a few seconds, B, F, B + K and so on).

OP states he is new to SF and most likely new to fighting games, since he is having trouble with charge moves, so you respond in the most technical non-newbie friendly way possible...

First and foremost, trying the command on the keyboard usually causes it to fail because most keyboards cannot register simultaneous inputs. That being said, this is the input needed for his ultra. Keep in mind that most printed command lists assume your character is facing right.

The general motion is as follows:

Hold back (charge) for 2 seconds.
Then quickly tap forward, back, forward.
Finish by pressing all three kicks (light, medium, and hard) simultaneously.

It’s really harder to explain compared to actually doing it. Keep in mind, that crouching while holding back charges both backwards and downwards. So from that position you are able to do are able to do all charge moves by completing the appropriate motion. It is also important to get use to that position because you avoid walking backwards while “charging”.
