1-Frame Links.
So. Im currently using Ibuki, and im having quite a hard time with these 1-Frame links. People tell me that i can assign a button so i can Plink with it. Or is there an easier way that can help me with this kind of link.

You're linking the light punch I'm assuming?

I don't know ibuki that well but the only 1 frame link I know she has is linking a jab (light punch) after doing her kick special move. and plinking a jab is usually not possible, you'd have to open up your stick and rewire the select button to one of the 8 usual buttons. the reason why this is possible is because you can plink every move (even light punch) with select.

if you don't even know how and why plinking works I strongly suggest you watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfP3oj_8oXM

after watching this you'll understand why you usually cannot plink light punch.

in short: with ibuki you should just go for easier combos or train the difficult ones ALOT to master her combos without plinking. btw. plinking doesn't automatically make everything easier...plinking itself requires alot of training to get it right consistantly.

Yup, for ibuki her only real 1-link combo would be the light punch after the kicks (quarter circle back + lk). After the jab you can plink mk xx slide (the grab thingy). Most of her stuff from light to medium are pretty much 2 frames i believe (that's what it feels like), so less chances for you to mess up. Crouching light kicks and light punch after medium stuff are the only 1 frame links she has. I played her quite a bit, but maybe there's more..

target combo 4 (1f-link) lp (3f-link) mk (cancel) sp. is also 1f I believe. If you're on pad like me, you can assign select to one of your shoulder buttons so that you can easily plink her jab. If you're on a stick I'd suggest using the 6 buttons on the right side and map select to the 1st button on the top roll.

I might've repeated some stuff izmir said, but not my fault he knows everything :P

You can plink a jab with select.

Why dont you map select to 3P ?
3P and 3K are useless.

I just mapped select as the fourth punch button and it does work. You should get 2 inputs of the button you are plinking while you only push it once.
