My PS4 USF4 Day 1 experience / report

A new community, many new players, some veterans
and several players with solid fundamentals.
The connection on release day was worse than PC & PS3.
I dropped so many combos, couldn't anti air nor react
properly vs some moves and sometimes I couldn't even block while crounching ( getting hit by 3 fireballs in a row for no reason. The connection on day 2 was better for some
reason. Still, if Capcom wants to keep the PS4 USF4 community
strong they better release a netcode patch that fix
those issues ASAP or most players will go back to PC, 360 and
PS3.
There were also some stealth nerfs / buffs I have experienced.
Some changes I have noticed. Guile can combo from UDK into 2x cr fierce in the corner,
Guile's cr. HP does AA stuff it didn't before such as Yun's dive kick ( not rly sure if Guile could AA this before )
Blanka's neutral jump HP whiffs on some stuff vs characters like Sakura.
Juri's EX dive kick on hit - last hit does sometimes miss for w/e reason => no combo into ultra ( IIRC that was never the case before )
I might be wrong with some of those - needs more testing - will hitting the lab on the weekend when I got more time and
grinding some more games & report back

So if you already own the PC, PS3 or the 360 version there is absolutely no need to buy the PS4 version right now.
There is a patch on its way though today or tomorrow?

Just a short montage I have put together - the community seems strong right now but like I said if this netcode doesn't
get any fix ASAP this will change soon - I hope that's not the case.

I've re-read the articles about the patch and realized something. The patch is expected to be "submtited" today to Sony, but that does not necessarily mean that it will be available to the public.

“First patch being submitted tomorrow. Will test and update you all with improvements.”

So they're going to test the patch and report back on it. Hopefully it can get released soon.

Thanks for the report and the video. I'm curious to see how the situation goes or if sits in limbo forever as the PC version did.

The japanese don't care about pc whilst they need consoles to survive. Expect a patch soon.
