Enigma still there or removed? And other playability without malware etc.
So capcom pulled a smartie with that supposed russian malware. But is it removed now?
I need a few players that still play and know more about this.
Any malware or other nonsense on top of probably loads of cheaters nowadays?

If games have 3rd party DRM that's usually stated on the Steam store page. For example, check the page for Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/586200/Street_Fighter_30th_Anniversary_Collection/

It says: "Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: The Enigma Protector".

You can also check PCGamingWiki:

https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Street_Fighter_30th_Anniversary_Collection

And there it also says: "All versions require Steam DRM and Enigma Protector DRM".

By the way, I think there's been some misinformation about Enigma:

https://www.reddit.com/r/TwoBestFriendsPlay/comments/194z8mm/as_far_as_i_can_tell_everything_people_are/

It doesn't seem to be that much worse or different than other 3rd party DRM implementations. Regardless, when I played the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, I didn't notice it. And it did not prevent offline play, contrary to what some of the reviews claimed.

Anyway, Ultra Street Fighter IV doesn't have Enigma. No mention of it on the store page or PCGamingWiki. I've had no issues playing the game so far (on Linux).

Donno if it was removed, or if it never had it in the first place.

I haven't encountered any cheaters, but the game's down to about 100-250 concurrent players now. If you're new, there'll be an experience gap in most match ups, but that's a mostly unavoidable part of any old fighting game.

Check https://steamdb.info/app/45760/charts/ for exact numbers.
About that experience gap: Not completely new to street fighter games, but I might be rusty since the last time I plaid SF4 was with the last edition before THIS edition when it firs came out though while it still had GFWL haha...So probably I would rather play against either sweaty casuals or non sweaty non-casuals or whaterver you call it. Once a year or so I revisit much older Street Fighter games from snes and such but what i remember the movement and speed is totally different with all the "turtle-ing" on top o that.
