"H" stands for "Hard' or "Heavy" punch/kick?
I thought it stood for "hard", but my friend claims it stands for "heavy". Which one of us is correct?

I see no reason why it can't mean both since they both clearly express the meaning.

Actually, both are correct and mean the same thing, but Heavy is the official one as far as I know. Well, the manual in the game itself calls the strongest normals Heavy Punch and Heavy Kick.

they should change it to A punch, A for anime

and deejays st.cl hp should be renamed to up as in u for useless

forces standing, yet doesnt force standing. itd be a sick move if it really forced standing.

Heavy? Hard? What is that? In my day we called them Fierce and Roundhouse.

Kids these days.

You can check out the first Street Fighter arcade machines. On the layout you see Light/Medium/Heavy Punch and Light/Medium/Heavy Kick. And it has always been like that, only North America decided to call it differently.
Personally, I don't mind, even though I prefer Light/medium/heavy names.

+1. he was right. Light/medium/heavy, Punch and Kick is the correct term. i would not prefer to call it Fierce Punch And Roundhouse Kick.
