The R2 button took some getting used to on my DualShock4 but now I can't go back.
The R buttons are my favs as I feel I can be quickest to them.
What is it with this forum and the rudeness with responces? :/
still can't find any results when i spell it with louffy
Crazy right?
Actually you can find out Luffy's config on one of his streamed match where they do button check.
For instance, Luffy vs Snake Eyez at EVO 2014 : http://youtu.be/RJ4WXiS8p-Y?t=45s
Just translate the xbox360 buttons to their PS1 equivalent.
And it was also answered by Luffy himself on his ask.fm account (in french, but he's just stating the mapping: http://ask.fm/Luffy086/answer/116292254681 , "carré" = □, "rond" = O, "croix" = X).
Here I thought we are having a friendly discussion on Louffy's controller layout, which I gave my two cents on. Now appearently every post needs to have the same fact check as a dissertation defense.

Seriously?
Disclaimer: I'm bloody-ass tired from work today. Being a nice guy isn't in my current schedule for the rest of the day.
sweet, ty both
everything except for A and B (or X and O).
at http://ask.fm/Luffy086/answer/116292254681 luffy says X = MK and O = HK.
at http://i.imgur.com/fPrLhIo.jpg luffy's setup shows A = HK and B = MK.
does that mean that pressing O on luffy's ps1 controller is equivalent to pressing A on the xbox 360 controller? his converter/adapter might have switched the X and O around, so maybe that's the case...
People unbind them for one of a few reasons.
1) They're used to arcade style where there are no PPP/KKK buttons. Arcade cabinets only have six buttons, not eight.
2) They like to leave buttons unbound so they can mash them and fake out their opponents when playing in person.
3) They rewired one of the buttons to Select so they can plink jabs or shorts.
Tournaments don't care about PPP/KKK buttons since they're so universal on almost all mass produced sticks nowadays, and it doesn't really offer any significant advantages to players at the highest level anyway.
