There arent too many easy findable resources that tell you how to do it so I'll try my best to explain a few things.
CSB Packer is easier to do stage music mods with since it cuts down on some workflow steps needed to do the same with SF4 Audio Manager but grab both programs, google should find them for you.
1. Open SF4 Audio Manager and load up the character csb music file (should look like "BGM_PSN_2CH.csb" in this case its Poisons (PSN) theme)
2. Click Manage > Unpack (to a easy accessible location)
3. Click Tools > Extract ADX from AAX (the AAX file is from step 2)
4. Open CSB Packer and load the blank stage file it comes with
5. Load the 000.adx you extracted during step 3 for the 1st, 3rd and 5th slot
6. Load the 001.adx you extracted during step 3 for the 2nd, 4th and 6th slot
7. Click create csb and it will create a BGM_Stage.csb.new file in the CSB Packer folder
8. Rename that file to a stage name ("BGM_TRN" for training stage for example)
9. Replace the original file in one of SF4's many BGM folders with the one from step 8
Now all this assumes you use the games own ADX files. if you want to make your own or need to pump up the volume in some of the character BGMs you need a ADX/WAV converter (PES Sound Converter is what I use, Google finds it via some forum links). If this is need you need to do some extra work between steps 3 and 4.
Hope it helps somewhat, It can be hassle if youre not used to doing this. We cant really spread these mods easily since they contain copyrighted material. If youre going for convenience it might be better to just load up a MP3 playlist and mute the ingame music :)
I know right, it doesnt make sense at all, it's kind of wierd that they include the option but not for all modes.
