Just stick with your Stick.
This will be the most helpfull advise you will get in this thread. And you didn't even asked for that.
^This.
Just practice... I played fighter with a pad ever since T3~TTT1 and I started playing with a stick for 4 or 5 years now. On some occasion I play on a pad, but seriously, when I do I always get angry knowing what a waste of time it was. For someone who loves and dedicates time into fighters a Fightstick has plenty of benefits you do not want to miss once you experienced them.
IF you are motivated, then it will only take 2-3 months in P-Mode MAXIMUM to be on par with your keyboard skills.
Of course it is personal preference in the end. However I felt I made better improvements with a stick more than I did with a pad and I am sure I'm not the only one who made this experience in the FGC.
Hm now I have to answer again. You forgot the second A+S ;)
For the Sake of it:
For the ultra to activate you need to hold downback for 42 frames and then reach downforward, downback and up and all 3 kicks in a given (tiny) timeframe. Any other input in not harmfull but will be ignored.
You need to hold A+S for 42 frames, release A+S, press S+D (holding/presse S alone is not necessary), release S+D, press A+S, release A+S, press A+W _or_ W _or_ W+D + 4+5+6 depending if you want to reach the wall behind, the nearest wall or the wall in front of you.
After you have done that you can go back to stick practicing ;)

You can read there :"hold back instand of downback" Which means you have to use downback. I tried it,since I prefere playing Charger with Keyboard. Works with Vegas U1 good.
Yeah thats right. I also have a stick, but I don't like it to be honest, I've got a better "controlfeeling" with a Pad. It comes all down to personal preference. But don't forget Luffy won EVO with a DSX Pad and he still use it.
I stick with my DS4 anyway.
No offense but if he can pull off tight 1-frame link combos and ultras while breaking no sweat then goodie for him. However you seem to struggle to do something very simple on a peripheral you want to prefer. You should NOT struggle
Again don't cross out options that might work better for you. Give it a try.
True buddy, but let's not forget that he and only a very select few are successful with a pad. To name some Snakeyez and Smug. The rest, and with that the majority, plays with a stick among the upper echelon. Even on a lower level you will see sticks predominantly than pads.
Yeah I know this. Thats why I buyed a stick at my last holydays in Japan.
Plinking is easier and pianos, but I still haven't the feeling. You know this feeling that you control every little move of your character. It don't have this feeling when I use the stick. I can do whatever I want,it doesn't make any difference.
And most pros are realy for a long time on the scene. Daigo plays since SF2. Me too,but I was six as I played it and I started september 2013 with competetiv gameing.(Still played the most SF's befor, but only casual.)
Maybe I feel better with a Pad cause I played 3 years Tekken competetiv and Namco designed Tekken for both Pad and Stick. I mean you can call someone in 2009 that someone will win EVO with a DSX, he will just laugh loud.
Capcom hans't designed SF for Pads at all, thats why Pianos are sometimes a nightmare.Maybe SFV will have a better support.
Oh and Alioune also use a Pad,best Cammy in the world.
However, other charge moves are better on Keyboard IMO. You don't have to let go of the back button. Super/Ultra moves simply are Hold Back, Forward, Forward P/K (x3).
But if you have a crappy keyboard, then hold Down back, then go Forward Down Back, then Up Back/Up forward for ultra. Remember to hit both down forward and down back during the 180 degree Forward Down back
