Does the HORI fighting edge PS3 version work on PC?

Planning on buying, using a windows 8, not sure whether PS3 is compatible for the PC, just looking to see if anyone knows.

Since the PS3 uses standard USB tech, unlike the xbox that specifically uses a chip to limit hardware, it will most likelyw ork on the PC. MadCatz showed that this isn't always the case, but situations like that are rare.

Back when MadCatz originally released their stick they had used proprietary technology from Via. Players had to buy a USB expansion card that used a Via chip in order for their fight sticks to work. AFAIK that's no longer the case, and anyway situations like this are very very rare.

Personally I would buy it and assume that it will work. Check the reviews on Amazon because you're certain to see remarks about it if it doesn't work.
