What's the best gamepad for fighting and sports games?
I'm planning to buy this game and an xbox 360 gamepad BUT I've heard bad reviews of it for fighting games because of it's unresponsive and inaccurate d-pad. BUT I'm also planning to buy fifa 14 and I've heard the best gamepad is the xbox 360 controller. The problem is that I don't want to buy one controller for this game and a different one for fifa, what I want to know is the best gamepad for both games. But in the worst case scenario I might just have to buy an xbox 360 controller and just get used to it for this game. A kinda off topic question: Is the xbox one better than the 360 in fighting games and when will it be compatible for pc?

Hori makes some pretty decent controllers with good d-pads and pretty okay analog sticks... either a PS3 or 360 one will work on PC. I suggest if you're playing Street Fighter on it... get one with 6 face buttons.

for fighting games, ps2/3 controller are fine, because they have a decent d-pad and I can tell you from personal experience that you will hate yourself for getting an xbox360 controller for fighting games. the xbox one controller seems decent for fighting games because it finally has a decent d-pad, but I never tried it out myself. xbox one controller should be compatible for pc right? wouldn't make any sense if it weren't.

It's not currently compatible as they haven't made any Windows drivers for it.

You could snag a PS4 controller and download the xinput wrapper so that games automatically recognize it as an X360 controller. I have one and it's really nice, and I'm sure it'd work well for SF and FIFA along with any other game designed for a pad.

Ok, thanks for the suggestions so far. I've never heard of Hori but I'll look it up. I might not get a ps3/4 and an xbox one controller since it's still too expensive compare to the xbox 360. Also, have anyone tried the logitech f310/70 controller, especially the f310 one because it's pretty cheap, would anyone recommend it?

Would the buttons show up in-game as the ps4 buttons or xbox 360 buttons?

/\ This.
I use an xbox 360 controller and it's incredibly difficult to play because my hands are always so close together all the time, I end up having to plink my combos instead of actually enjoying the game.

If I use a ps3 controller would the buttons in-game for the combos shows up as the ps3 buttons or the xbox 360?

Also would the logitech f310 controller be another good option since it is cheaper than the ps3 controller and almost has the same design layout.

I use the joystick on the 360 controller and I do just fine.

Because there are only little differences between ps2 and ps3 controllers. The ps3 controller is just a wireless ps2 controller. It's also cheaper.
