Oni "..." quote

After defeating "fight your rival" (playing as oni it's gouken), oni says something wierd "..." which i believe is silence. does that mean they both are related somehow to each other?

It seems in intro that gouken was expecting oni, as he was waiting for him, and wasn't suprised, maybe he knows truly origin of oni, and that he would come for him, sooner or later?

I think as well Oni isn't final Akuma form, akuma never was truly evil. final akuma form was "shin" akuma which was as well neutral, he even saved humans from meteor in comic

Like they said in his opening intro hes "evil incarnate" and he seems to be reborn from some very old tree, (maybe his spirit was living in it?) oni is probably form of a demon/ogre from japanese folklor, i believe he as well turned ryu into evil. Maybe ryu fought oni, and oni wounded ryu in heart with his second ultimate, that turned ryu into evil? Perhaps Oni is one who really murdered Gouken, not Akuma. (While as gouken facing Shin Oni boss, hes saying something like "you can't run from your destiny") - (and while fightning as evil ryu hes calling him "his boy" like oni was his truly master) just my speculations.

Well, you could read the origin of Akuma and find out. There's udon comics about this stuff, and from what I've heard, they're pretty good.

Akuma is evil because that's what Hado does to you. The whole idea of Gouken being in a coma forever was him mediating on how to remove the evil from Hado (and he is still canonically weaker than Akuma, though clearly in the same league). So yes, Akuma is evil.

Shin Akuma is just Akuma at full power. Akuma's Hado automatically scales itself higher or lower based on the opponent's power level.

yeah my bad.. gouken wasnt killed by akuma, because somehow he managed to seperate his soul from body before akuma used on him raging demon as a finisher.

a;though akuma killed goutetsu, there is not much known about akuma/gouken master - goutetsu, only that he teached akuma hado.. he used same technique as akuma but resisted evil of it.

maybe it wasnt intentionally at all, and akuma lost his control due to new technique, like once did ryu fightning vs sagat. i believe it was more accident since akuma is wearing goutetsu bead necklace to show him respect .

Gouken was killed by Akuma alright... they just retconned the storyline when they decided on making Gouken a playable character.

Of course putting Street Fighter IV in a timeline before Street Fighter III... and having characters from Street Fighter Alpha (that were nowhere to be seen in Street Fighter II)... they stopped caring about continuity and storyline quite a while ago. Best to not think about it too hard.

maybe they turn soon akuma into good character since its not his fault what hado does to him(just like evil ryu), i can imagine him crying and screaming to forgive him all the sins because he wasnt himself.

also sagat isnt evil anymore and interested in fight, he isnt same sagat as we see in sfa3 who seek for revenge, just like he lost his paw and find peace lol.

i guess he turned mad because ryu infected him with evil power of hado, while performing forbidden hadoken and leaving scar on his chest (like evil ryu have).
