Madcatz TE Fightstick no longer working (Windows 10)
Hello, I recently upgraded my PC to Windows 10 but since then my fightstick doesn't work anymore... I tried to install the xbox 360 controller drivers (https://www.microsoft.com/hardware/fr-fr/d/xbox-360-controller-for-windows) but it doesn't do anything.

Any tips ? It really blows lol.

If you were trying to install x360 drivers then I guess it's a 360 stick.

Device Manager > Right-click on the stick > Update Driver > Let me pick from the list > Find X360 Controller for Windows driver and apply it.

That should work.

Yeah it's a 360.

I already tried to do that, but the thing is that I can't find the 360 drivers on the list. I have no idea why...

It should be at the end of the list.

this worked for mine, its a xboxone stick, if nothing works you can atleast try that. in the driverpackage is a driver for "xboxgamingdevice" integrated, which works with both my sticks on win10 so far (copypasted from my reddit-account)


case you are still around, i got the 6-button layout to work again @ win10 : if you connect it, it gets recognised as Xbox gaming device, but you cant use it as a gamecontroller. so you need to right-click it in the device-manager and update -driver -> search on computer -> chose driver from a list -> take the OLDER driver (6.2.11059.0), install that driver, restart the PC, it works again as 6-button-stick!

(you probably need to manually install the old driver from there to get the option in your device-manager:

I have the same problem.
Windows 10 is a piece of crap.
My stick work fine with Dariusburst but not with The Bug Butcher. WTF ?!

No, it's not. I have literally been using Windows 10 since release and so far I have encountered zero issues.

I have not problems to. I got mine today.
The only problem I have is The RT and LT buttons.

But i have change LB to heavy kick to make the game playable.

If anyone still has this same problem using their 360 MadCatz fightsticks on Windows 10, here's the solution: Don't plug it into a USB3.0 port. The fightstick doesn't recognize any USB port higher than 2.0.

Once you plug it into a USB2.0 slot, it'll work normally like it should.

download the mad catz driver from here https://rebyte.me/en/madcatz/

then after rebooting, plug in your mad catz, Right click on the Taskbar icone of madcatz, then select Xinput, instead of HID, and on your mad catz, if you have the button between PS 3 and 4, keep it on PS3.

I have a fightstick pro. It was one of the Street Fighter X Tekken ones. All of a sudden the stick only registers down. left right and up have no function. I went to contrller settings in windows and tested it. all buttons work just directions are screwed. I tried swapping drivers as I noticed new ones in there from april this 2018 so I changed to ones from 2009 and still not working. Any tips?

yeah, your problem most likely a hardware one.
see the instructions on how to replace the up button and where to buy it, i beleive some have spare button or 2, not sure.
