Region Settings
The region settings are either "same" or "any"

However, I live in Canada. I can play fine against US players, but someone in Asia or Europe is going to lag in a game against me.

I'm sure French players feel the same about Spanish or German players.

Can you add an extra level of filter, like continent? I don't mind playing US players, but European matchs often lag out (just like their football teams.... ohh trolled you.)

CANADA is a LAGGY match for sure if you are playing with south east asia region or even north asia like JAPAN

Agreed, but I don't see why I have to put it on "Any" to play US players when the two infrastructures are practically one network. Needs a wider option range.

European players should have an option for all of Europe as well, same with Asia.

That's bizzare. When I select "same" I get Canadian players constantly... I'm nowhere near the Candian border!

Made a large post about this a few days ago.

I'm in canada as well, I want to be able to filter games against people in north america only. Right now, I can either get Canada only (practically no games), or the whole world, much of it being way too far away from me for playability.

Give me a way to filter for only US/Canadian players, and I'd be very happy. You listening Capcom/QLOC?

canada has a lot of players unfortunetely region is locked to your steam "download region" setting when you choose "same". so you are seeing a very small fraction. their patch only unlocked it when you choose "any"

i wish we could actually see ALL THE MATCHES FILTERABLE by region instead of this console garbage of 5 or 6 random matches from random countries.

also wish those bars were actual numbers.

both wishful thinking...these guys don't give a shti about players.

i am in the same boat as you. pre-steamworks i use to have a usa flag and never had problem finding a match.

post-steamworks i have a canada flag and have a hard time finding a canadian/usa match.

its been atleast 2 weeks since the steam works conversion and i have given up. basically stopped sf4 ae for good because of it.

we need more specific search options there are no players in my region and i cant select poeple form close regions cause it has only two option same and any , it takes alot of balls to release something as stupid as this and not fix it for such a long time.

you are also absolutely right about that.. they must put an additional filter to make the matchmaking much easier and not confusing to some.. and they should remove the filter REGION and replace it with country.. i also like the idea of having a search filter like EUROPE, Canada, USA, ASIA, etc..

Continent search is the way to go, I think. North America, South America, Europe, etc. Well, they'd probably need some sort of solution to split Asia into multiple parts, it's kind of big.

It would be easy for Capcom to implement, and result in more matches for everyone.
