Xbox 360 controller good for this?
I'm having massive problems playing this game. I bought an xbox 360 controller just for this type of game.
But my thumb can't handle the stick well. The 360 combos and weird charge back forth things my brain just can't process them and my hands get tired really quickly.
And combos with more than 3 buttons at once my brain can't even seem to process.
I'm scared! I must be mentally handicapped. Jesus christ.
Cody "Final Destination" as an example. Have to do two stick movement thingies and X Y and RB I assume (it says three fists so thats all three punches, right?).
And I just can't. Somehow. Do. That.
Very frustrating. I just wanna kick ass and chew bubble gum.

I use a Playstation 2 pad for fighter, the 360 pad just sucks for fighters lol.

If you dont wanna spend more money, just use the keyboard.

some of these combos are so hard, I just end up twitching my hands like a <derogative term for someone with epilepsy starting with spas> in an attempt to hit all the buttons or get the positions right.
And how do I do Yoga Shangri-La or similar combos in mid air with a time-frame of only , what, 1 second? I'm not a jedi. Having to twist the stick twice AND hit 3 fists (whatever that means, already hit all 3 attacks at the same time several times and it doesn't work, I only ever trigger Yoga Inferno.)

You have to hit them on the same frame or more practically, can bind 3xp or 3xk in a single button in the options menu to do the same thing. Simply scroll down the list all the way past bottom for second page of inputs to see where it is.

Hello
I have start this game few days ago and I play with a XboxOne Controller.
And Holy Sh!t it is for me terriable I bought an Arcade Stick for this game, and he will come this week.

The reason for me to buy it was the execution for an example:
Some moves you have to press Lt/LB and you have to make 2x half circle clockwise and if I stay on the left side and I have to do the special moves clockwise 9/10 will fail!
And I cant do this good with my left hand too make an execution who needs the left hand + clockwise.....

The advantage of an Arcade Stick is you have one hand for the Stick and the other hand for the buttons.

I heard some Pro's are Controller players etc
But you and me are not them!

Just try it with the Keyboard if it sucks too go for an Arcade Stick.
In my opinion this game is harder to play when using a controller. If you go on Ebay you can buy he Madcatz Xbox 360 Street Fighter IV fightstick for around 90 dollars, it is worth it and works for all fighting games on PC and Xbox 360.

I don't think the controller is the issue though. Pads are a lot less taxing on you hands when it comes to directions compared to arcade sticks anyway. If you feel like you can't process all these inputs at the same time, you just lack experience with that controller, and changing for another one won't do anything.
A lot of my friends played on pad, and I did too, they all could do these motions effortlessly at some point, and they're not hardcore fighting game players, far from it. It'll come if you practice slowly and regularly.

its better to use the d-pad if youre using an xbox 360 controller. its what i use.

I started with the 360 controller on analog in the originial sf4 when I got it in 2013. Today I am a 2kpp player and I only play with the analog. I play c viper, juri and decapre, gouken. . it is hard to be consistent with the analog, it took a long time for muscle memory to get in. It all depends on how you want to play. If you only want a casual experience stick to the xbox controller with analog, you will love it with time (its kinda late tho, since sf5 is coming and the game may be dead by the time you get good with the controller. lol). If you want to be pro, then go buy another controller. Many B+ A+ and more players on steam use a xbox controller or other pads. Many just assume the B+ and A+ are stick players. Most pro turtlers are pad players too. thats all I know.

All of you playing on pads need to listen to me. Get a mayflash adapter for Sega Saturn controller then get one or two of these cheap on ebay. They are available in plenty of flashy colours too.

You should avoid this pad for streetfighter ... the Xbox One pad seems to be far far better.
