Controller issues [Solved]
EDIT: For those having issues with DS4 Tool (NOT DS4 Windows, DS4Tool from the PCSX2 Forum) and the DS4 Controller. The best option I've found is to use Borderless Fullscreen mode on USF4, Basically I found that the game has issues switching between different inputs whilst the game is active. The easiest way I've managed to fix this is by using Borderless Gaming, an application to run all games in borderless fullscreen mode whether the game has the option to or not. There is a paid for version on Steam but you can get the open-source version for free from the creators website. The Steam version is only there if people like the program and want to support the developer, it is no way required to use the program.

Again, Borderless Gaming helps with issues where the game won't recognize the controller, or at least it did for me

Original Post:

OK. An important point is I'm using a Dualshock 4 controller with DS4 Tool 1.2.2 and some version of Microsofts XBOX 360 controller driver. Other than that my hardware and OS shouldn't be important. Game runs fine it just won't recognize my controller anymore.

So I just got the game, installed it everything seemed just dandy. Went in to the settings and realized I couldn't change inputs for controls so I was like whatever, went in to training, was fighting a little bit but then I got annoyed that I couldn't change the controls. So I quit the game, tried different settings in DS4 tool. Had a look at the calibration setting to make sure everything was working. DS4 tool was being stubborn so I ended up uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it again, but now quite simply the game refuses to accept any input at all.

If it's more just my drivers which are at fault then I'll have to sort that out instead of complaining that the controls aren't working on this game specifrically (Which means if you see this post before I come back to edit it with information on whether or not the controller is working fine on other games rather than just this game, then please do not bother telling me to test other games, I'm gonna test other games literally after I finish this post)

I have a DS4 but actually once you install DS4Windows and its drivers, you don't need that app anymore, close it. Windows will recognise the DS4 as 'Wireless Controller'. Go into USF4 and in button config, there will be an input method called Wireless Controller (besides Controller 1-4). There you can bind each button to each action.

I use DS4 Tool. I dislike DS4 Windows because the UI is horrible, regardless of whether it works or not. Nonetheless, I found a way to make it work, all I simply had to do was go in to borderless fullscreen on USF4 and I have no issues getting the controller to work now. Also, changing controls in Wireless controller is silly because it changes all the button inputs to stuff like "Button 1" and "Button 14" and you can't tell which button is which. It's pretty useless so I'm stuck with the default controls that the game applies when I start it.

Thank you kindly for the input though :Ocelot:
