Anyway, check this:
Right-click on the speaker icon in your task bar (next to the clock).
.. click Recording Devices
.. look for Stereo Mix in the list
You can disable the device if you do not record videos of game play or broadcast on Twitch. If you do, then double check that it is not listed as a communication device or a default device.
If there's a green check mark on it, then select something else and click the Set Default button on it (for both "Default Device" and "Default Communication Device").
Of course, it's easier to simply disable it if you can do that. Right-click on Stereo Mix and choose Disable.
Click "OK" when you're done.
